...is going to Peterborough for £300k. Ajose No surprises there then!! Mickhail-Smith out for £3.5m and Ajose in for £300k, good piece of business, that!
BBC website says they got Ryan Tunnicliffe and Scott Wootton on loan too. Doesn't bother me. There's no way he's flown under our radar so if NP was interested, he'd definitely be in for him.
Some of the Leicester boys reckon they've offered £350k for him and he's off there instead. We need a winger and at £300-350k he seems decent value. Also, the Brighton lads seem convinced that CMS is turning down Leicester to sign for them.
That would be a very bizzare move at 27 he would be almost resigning to a career in the lower league. Also have the foxes signed Yakubu?
So Mackail-Smith has turned down Premier League football with Norwich City AND Queens Park Rangers, as he wants to join Brighton and Hove Albion in the 2nd tier? And at the same time, he's also joining West Ham and Leicester? OK...
Brighton have a new stadium, which it looks like they are going to fill for every game, they have one of the best managers in the league and they seem to be spending some money, I don't think they should be underestimated. I'm not suggesting they're going to be at the top of the league next season, but they're certainly a club on the up and I can see the appeal of living in Brighton over Leicester. That said, with the Hammers now having an offer accepted, I think it's more likely he'll go there.
I don't expect CMS to agree to a move to Brighton. He's more likely to join Leicester as this would be a move to a more local team without having to uproot from his present locality. West Ham could entice him being near to his original "Essex roots". I wish he would make up his bloomin' mind as soon as possible so we can all move on. This transfer saga has had more twists and turns than Dallas.
I know he's (CMS) a Watford fan, so if they weren't skint he'd probably go there at some point in his career.
according to one tweet i'd read, they'd said he was told by poyet that poyet would be building the team around him and he was guaranteed to play every week. very disappointed we don't appear to have really looked at ajose. i think he's exactly what we need to be honest.
That was all Barry Fry bigging up his player, Norwich withdrew their interest months ago and QPR never even bid, he didn't turn down either of them.
Brighton would be a stupid move for him. They've already lost their top-scorer and best player in Glenn Murray and Elliott Bennett.
I thought they had a bit of money but I don't think they've spent any yet, have they? Have they bought anyone yet???
They spent £1m on Will Buckley from Watford and they're rumoured to have bid for a few other players, including over £3m for CMS.
Not sure how many they have signed 2 b honest but there are rumours of decent money available to Poyet! They have brought in Dennis Bergkamp's nephew but that is the only 1 that springs 2 mind
