Agree with this. I like Smug but I'm afraid I think he brought several invasions of this board upon himself and the rest of us by serially wumming everybody else.
Agreed I think the board is much more interesting with him on it than without and he seems like a decent bloke, it's just a shame people felt they couldn't cope with a few clampets from GC.

Dress it up how you want, fact is you decided to get in on the act on an argument between two people and I simply evened the sides. Notice how I haven't addressed Com or Smug in regards to their argument at all. I haven't abused either one of them, why? Comm v Smug, not a problem Shameless v Smug, not a problem Comm, Shameless and the gc lot with their repetitive childish drivel v Smug, I did have a problem with. No matter who was on the receiving end, it was a bad few days for the board. The gc lot and shameless I couldn't give a toss about. I'm a bit taken aback with Comm spitting his dummy out with me though.
Is that the consensus? A few tags and repetitive s**t from the Frankie Boyle book of s**t crack, doesn't really constitute being savaged to me. I like you mate and we barely disagree and fall out over much. That didn't happen though. He left because that s**t 'banter' from the dumb f** crew, spilled onto other threads and he didn't want the board spoiled for all posters. Comm's and Smug's don't come around on forums too often, they're solid gold as far as I'm concerned, the lifeline of these boards last season when you lot endured almost an entire season of misery in the league. Be sweet if you could all get on or at least co-habit, cos you all have great input on what is still by far the best board on this forum.
monica from gc started some banter with smug and a lot of it was quite funny, it just kind of escalated from there. The GC-ers are, in the main, Rangers-Celtic board members who have been active for 5 year or so and that's the origin of the off-topic forum: General Chat. There are some very funny people there, but perhaps the humour is not for all
I think that's the case mate, people have different tastes in humour and to Smug's credit that day he never really complained. He was happy to go along with that until a certain point, where Mods stepped in. After that it would have been water under the bridge, but it spilled out across the board.
