I love the Jeremy Kyle show

JK: Threesomes are a bad idea. Were you jealous when you saw him with another woman?
Woman: Yes
JK: And were you jealous when you saw her with another woman?
Man: No I was rather excited.

When I bought my smart TV a few months ago I went into Curry's intending to get the Sony 46' one but the guy in there ended up selling me the Samsung 44' as the software, Internet speed etc. was much better. And it was cheaper than the Sony. I've been very happy with it, I can stream films, football etc. direct to the TV which is brilliant. So good choice Beef <ok>.

Police being called to shops, 3 men arrested and a woman hit by a falling TV. Great to get a bargain but calm down.

Saw that! <laugh> It's like when some men say they feel uncomfortable when they see men kissing, but are fine when they see women kissing!

Building some parts for the new Bond Car and built parts of the Millennium Falcon. He specialises in carpentry and welding, but only works on movies these days. He helped build the Pierce Brosnon Bond boat a few years back.

Ha – yes, we definitely could argue this all night. But just reckon he’s a 11-20 guy on those lists. Rightly or wrongly. Just off the top of my head, and assuming Jim Hendrix is 1 (which he tends to be), I’d have – in no order - Neil Young, George Harrison, Keith Richards directly after. But you have Pete Townshend staking a claim + Brian May. Then you get all the BB King, Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck, Duane Allman (in my mind, all a bit boring); and that’s not mentioning the specialist guys like Steve Vai ; the metal guys like Eddie Van Halen, who clearly deserves a place in the top ten. And even Tommy Iommi etc. Second Stain would undoubtedly have Carlos Santana in there. I’d have Richard Thompson and Prince in there too, but they are always lower down those lists too. Just reckon its arguable that Dave Gilmour would get in that first ten, as influential as his band is, and as many great non-Pink Floyd songs he’s been on too.

I’m actually not a fan of post-Syd Barrett Pink Floyd, nor have much time for these sorts of lists – just thought I would be a voice of dissent on the Dave Gilmour guitar placing front! <ok>

What are you basing this on though? I mean technically Young, Harrison, Richards, Townsend aren't even on the same page as Gilmour. I'd also argue very, very fervently that they don't have the same feel as DG.

Glad welding is part of his skillset - think a wooden car would have cramped Bond's style! :D

Neil Young is up there with the best, but not Harrison, Richards, or Townshend. I agree with Richard Thompson being there, and Carlos Santana. David Gilmour is definitely up there too though, along with Hendrix, Page, and Clapton. And Peter Green. And Duane Allman. And Dickie Betts. And Jerry Garcia. And Bert Jansch. And Nic Jones.

Can we make it a top 30 rather than a top 10?

Yes, admittedly I’m not basing it just on technical skills, but definitely feel, and influence. And basically personal preference. Haven’t even given it too much thought – I just don’t think DG is inarguably in top ten greatest guitarists of all time. If it was technical alone you’d start having people like Mark Knopfler and the guy from Dream Theater appear in the lists, and not sure anyone wants that (except people who buy gold-plated remastered CDs and spend £20k on their stereo and speakers)!
