Reckon most Villa fans would be happy if Lambert went with him.

Apparently it is so he can concentrate on his work with Ireland........

Not sure that's actually a good thing.......

The official reason was that his satanic beard and icy stare was giving the population of Birmingham nightmares.

From someone on the outside looking in ............... anything Keane gets involved with will always only be on a very short temporary basis.
If he hasn't pissed you off before the start of play, you'll be over him before stoppage time, make no mistake!

But one thing in his favour was the way he totally blanked Mourinho when he tried to shake his hand and leave before the game had finished. That was quality.

    I disagree.

I quite like his approach. It's good to have some contrast.

I get the impression that he looks for individuals that are serious about what they do, knuckle down and are disciplined.

He does give the impression that he wants players with a good all-round game that will give everything and win at all costs. Basically, clones of him.

If he had been rubbish he wouldn't have that luxury but he wasn't, he was world-class but it makes for a very narrow viewpoint and possibly explains why his managerial career hasn't set the world alight.

Arrogant as a person, OK as a pundit, fantastic as a player, awful as a manager and I suspect bitter as an author.

Thing is there'll always be some idiot Chairman who'll give him a go in charge based solely on who he is rather than what he has achieved in management...

As we both know KooPeeArr, the population of Ipswich are still suffering those nightmares!

Forgive me if this has already been asked, but would I be correct to assume that you are Mark with a different user name?

Early start for me tomorrow from the station so I will miss seeing most of the regulars on the trip down. Hopefully we will all be happy on the return journey!

    It's Matt but close enough.

His legacy does live on in Ipswich doesn't it?

I did laugh at the big sign promoting his book outside the station.

Have a safe journey tomorrow Terry and come back smiling!

    Sorry Matt.

I put it down to old age rather than being in the MD's office drinking G & T most of the afternoon!
