I reckon I would like this season a lot more if he wasn't commentating. I don't want him to give it up, maybe just do the sky pad or the website threads
I think i would sack that smug, arrogant prat Simon Lazenby, put Croft in his role and get a new commentator in his place.
It's getting more and more obvious every race that went by! There was a moment during FP1 abu dhabi where i genuinely thought Ted was on the verge of just calling him a knob live on air!
Website work would be best, the last thing we need is him comparing laps on circuit to his 1 AMAZING lap in a Lotus...
Think he did Rugby before he got the F1 gig? He is Sky's "poster boy"/"up and coming star". And those titles have not at all went to his head in the slightest.... Jake was absolutely excellent IMO.
I already posted this on another thread but the only thing I want to #askcrofty is: When are going to **** off back to local radio you third-rate Partridge? Really, I don't want to hear that slimy voice and I certainly don't want to see him unless he's bound and gagged and being thrown from an aeroplane without a parachute. So no, I'm not keen. I can't stand Cheezenby either: he's cocky and charmless and he can't hold a candle to the goddess Perry. But I feel like that about the Sky team in general. I like Hill and Herbert but when they're all together they're just wooden and kind of awkward. There's none of the easy chemistry of the BBC team who are vastly superior and a great mix of personalities, in my not-so-humble opinion; they get the balance right between expertise and entertainment.
I do find Jordan very cringeworthy on the beeb. He gets very smug and patronising and even when it is evident he is 100% wrong, he just keeps on going and going and going until everyone else gives up.
Herbert is appauling, listening to him is embarrassing. He brings 0 value to the Sky Team, he has inept knowledge and it's scandalous that he's even called a pundit.
Eddie Jordan is the BBC's teams glue, of all the commentators and analysts he's the really only indispensible.
