We had a Halal meat issue a while back but this goes beyond food, iPhones ect the lot. Marketing cannot sell this crap without their secret weapon, that secret weapon is your willful ignorance. The realisation leaves the audience silent after this 5 minute talk.. Audience owned
what did you all think was reality........... shes siad nothing at all i didnt know! audience is dumb college kids who look very funny
Worth posting, but if you don't know what farming looks like, then you really should. Also, in case it's not clear, the woman is an actress. With regards to the self-bake cakes from the 50s or 60s, I think the manufacturers also had a problem that they never turned out well. When they asked the housewives, it was because they kept putting eggs in themselves, cos "you can't have a cake without eggs", even though the eggs were already in. That was another reason for keeping the eggs seperate.
Nothing new in that vid imo. Don't think it's wilful ignorance tbh, just people's willingness to put themselves above others and animals, particularly when others are making a conscious choice. I'm well aware of how much money people were paid to assemble my phone, TV, laptop etc but they are the ones who chose to take that job. Same with food, I know that even 'free range' hens get around three square metres of space each as opposed to the one square metre of battery hens. But ultimately if they gave all of them loads of space they couldn't produce enough eggs to meet demand and people would have to go without. I also realise my behaviour doesn't make a flying f**'s worth of difference, as 99% of people will continue to buy the cheapest product possible, whether that's down to their wilful ignorance or their own decision not to second guess the choices others have made. If I decide to boycott all animal products on the basis that it's cruel to animals, the only people I end up hurting are myself and my family, and possibly the farmers who rely on my money to stay in business. Out of interest, from whom did you buy the device you started this thread with Sisu?
Got a feeling that it's homemade from recycleable materials and powered by a well trained free range hamster on a wheel. Soz Sisu couldn't resist. Anyway are my Coco Shreddies safe?
Do you really care? There was zero about bloody shredders in the thing... It was just a set up cue about box art
Nothing I didn't know in the video but thanks for posting it. I must admit we eat less meat at home now than we used to, partly because of being aware of animal cruelty [always get barn eggs for example] but because too much meat, especially red meat and processed meat, isn't good for you. Saw a programme a while ago about the chicken used in ready meals so stopped buying them too. We all know about our clothes being made in sweat shops but really what can you do other than boycott certain things as and when the info is released about the unethical practices used. It certainly is food for thought though, definitely no pun intended.
I just thought this video was funny because everyone was all fired up to hear how it is someone else's fault, how the evil marketing companies have pulled off this master stoke, when in fact it just counted on people being self absorbed pricks with selective morality through the roof.. The look on their faces Who's gonna applaud you when you lead them down a path of realisation that reveals they are the c**ts responsible for all the things they were just shown that disgusted them. It ws pretty f**in brilliant the way she done them in, and really fits most people's views, "oh it's terrible" they say and then they buy something made in a sweat shop. The amount of Brits posting on facebook about how terrible china is, how people are slaves, from their iPads. Anyway I posted it mainly to show how ****ing stupid people can be
