You must be a little sad there Jono. Your interview with him was up there with the Martin Bashir princess Diana one. I have a story about Frankie which even on his sad passing I won't tell, but suffice to say it involved him clumping someone. Pound for pound he was the hardest man ever to walk the streets of London. And that includes all the prisons he has been in and broadmoor.

Ackers - you are talking bollox.

I can't stand it when people idolise villains. It is moronic. Would you hero worship the mugger who beats the old granny over her head for her pension?
The same thing happened with that scumbag Ronnie Biggs.

I don't classify all villains the same. Some are smashing blokes, but "Mad" Frankie Fraser specialised in extreme violence. That's what he did, and it's a dreadful way to spend your life, inflicting violence on your fellow human beings, so I'd say to Ackers that when you sup with the devil make sure you use a long spoon.

Whilst I abhor violence and remembering that Frankie is a war deserter, torturer, blagger, ration book thief, and general callous certifiable thug, he has kids, two boys were professional footballers and one a professional drug smuggler, so someone somewhere will be sad to see him go. To be fair to Ackers, Jono was trying not to glorify the violence but understand it. I think Jono 's interview was a genuine attempt to see of there was any remorse but of course by then FF was revelling in his notoriety and needing to make a few quid. A bit like Lennie Henry. You know he is worthless as entertainment but you juts hope that something comes out that you have not heard a 1000 times before.

He also was the oldest person in the country to get an asbo.

    Time to ban Acworth again.

The sentiments expressed are a) obscene and b) have nothing to do with Charlton or sport in general.

Piss off back to ITTV, it's about your level.

    So much for free speech.
I have no opinon on FF other than he loved his mother, only other vilains were involved and he served his time.
Give Jono a break, you might not like him, you might never agree with him, but he is interesting.

It always amuses me that so many people knew the likes of Foreman and the Krays. These pathetic human beings seem to want to be associated with these heartless thugs. As if by Lionising these people gives themselves some kudos.

Instead we should be finding real role models to look up to.

Well said. I have since had a look on You Tube at the drooling, dribbling wreck who threatened violence all his life. But that is enough about Reams for now <cheers>

You're quite right Billy and my apologies but, as you can guess, that post really pee'd me off.

That and the fact that Acworth seems to be back with avengence, posting drivel on many threads.

Do you have to have abused a child to make judgement on Jimmy Saville?

When Roger Moore was filming the Bond film Moonraker in Rio in the 70s, the producers sprung a surprise and announced that they had persuaded fugitive Rio resident Ronnie Biggs to perform a cameo in the film. Sir Roger went to the producers, and said the following:

"Certainly not. My father was a policeman after the war. He would have been horrified at the thought of me appearing with Biggs".

    The idea was dropped.

    Proper values <cheers>
