Pretty hard to argue with those stats. By the way EC, I gave JT some praise in another thread ! He's playing really well and adapted his style to suit with the players around him. That's the sign of a clever and experienced professional and he deserves credit for his effort.
LOL now go look at the same stat's for the team sitting top every other year and you got one of the easiest groups in Champions League history where do you expect to be sitting... Even Liverpool would have won your group
He's been superb but him and Cahill may struggle against Bayern or Real playing this slightly different system with Fab's sometimes suspect positioning. We may need 2 Matics for those games, but Fab's positioning is improving I think long term we need another quality Matic type.... City have 3: the Ferds and Toure. We can put MIkel or Rambo in there. Or we could invest in another marquee box to box player such as Pogba
Lets not get carried away!! It was a fairly easy group but that's what happens when you are seeded. Same for United who've had some right pub sides over the years in their groups. We paid our dues when we weren't seeded and still qualified.
Yeah because United always got out of groups with the likes of Benfica, Lille and Villareal & even worser groups like Benfica, Basel and Otelul Galati
Nathan Abe played as a DM at the bridge a couple of months back,in a Cup game I think , and for me was man of the match, absolutely superb. Sometimes you find a diamond in your garden if you look hard enough. I think we do need another Fab though, he's the cog around which the whole movement revolves.
