Wenger wins all face rubbing contests hands down.

Or, in most cases, hands brutally chafing his forehead...

I think you'll find that those teams were well established BEFORE he arrived.

That's not to discredit him - it's to put into perspective when comparing with the likes of Rodgers who didn't come into clubs who were already well developed and winning.

Were you this obsessed with Moyes winning erm ... NOWT ... 11 years down the line - especially after him making all those remarkable signings you mentioned?

Rodgers has had a chance to win 6 trophies with us so far and Moyes had 48 chances with you - huge difference right there.

The blues probably didn't care. They achieved their targets each year. That's why you have club expectations.

Rodgers on the other hand.... failed in his first year, over exceded in his 2nd year and his year has been an absolute calamity (believe the targets are to qualify out of group and get top 4?)

so moyes is a genuis who achieved nothing of note in 11yrs, yet brendan is ****e for over achieving a 2nd place finish, when he was surrounded by 2 clubs that have brought success?

    brilliant <laugh>

I think you'll find Moyes conned them into thinking that was all they could expect, otherwise explain Martinez immediate impact?

Moyes bought 70 players - most of them were magnificent according to the bluenoses, so why no trophy, not a single one? Rodgers failed in his first year did he by refusing to sell Suarez thus making sure he was there for the 2nd season - yes big failure that <laugh>

Even the likes of Swansea have won domestic cups.

Moyes is a typical old school British manager. Defensive, boring tactics, negative, small club mentality. That's what Moyes brings to the table. It's alright for a certain level i.e. Everton and below.

No - the link is that low spending teams can also achieve success. In fact, you can argue they have spent less than Everton and achieved more. <ok>

You obviously haven't been following. I never said Moyes was a genius. Just a solid manager who will never be a world beater. He's shown he can build a club up and get them consistently to a good position.

What exactly has Martinez achieved at Everton except the typical Moyes top 7 award? Not saying Martinez doesn't have the potential and he's definitely got Everton playing a more attractive brand of football which will allow for a higher ceiling but i don't think he's actually doing anything yet?.

Yes Rodgers did well getting Liverpool to 2nd. Everyone can fluke a year though, look at Pardew, got Newcastle to fifth once upon a time. 3 months on and losing his star striker and he's showing everyone how clueless he is. Even in his first year he underachieved.

I can't say for sure what a club target is but if Daglish is sacked for no achieving champions league and winning a cup, i highly doubt the target for next season would be to achieve 7th.

Again this years target i can't say i have inside knowledge, but i highly doubt it would go from qualify to the champions league (prior year finishing 2nd), to finish outside the top 4 whilst splurging 120m.

Rodgers previous club managed to win a trophy when he left, Moyes moved on and Martinez recorded a record point haul with the dross Moyes had purchased.

    Yet Rodgers is a hit<laugh>

Get the 2nd place finish on his CV....it needs bulking out!
