How do you think the window will shape up for us then fellas?

Personally I think the form of Dummet and Abeid will put a new element into the mix.

I think we will get one CB in during January with Mapou maybe making his Roma move permanent. Dummet has impressed when he's filled in at CB so with Colo, Saylor and Willo I think we will only get one in.

Tiote for me is almost out of the door... hopefully for £10m and with Colback and Abeid we have ready made cover there so I don't expect any recruitment in the middle of the park. I think the Tiote money will be spent on a striker.

Up front I think we will get one 'big name' striker through the door.

So to summarise, Tiote out and a CB and Striker in....

I'd be happy with that.... you?

I'm expecting a very quiet window.

Even if we have a terrible December we wont look like we're in trouble and other than that MA very rarely sanctions two busy windows in a row. I would not be surprised to see Tiote leave, and possibly MBM's loan being made permanent. Even with that I would be surprised if we got in more than one first team squad signing.

Need a DM if Tiote goes, we play two holding midfielders so we can only have three players competing for two places.

I personally don't think we'll do any business in January. Mike will see we're doing well and with Santon and Ralor back in the new year we'll have 3 players that can cover LB (Dummett, Santon & Haidara) and 3 that can cover RB (Janmaat, Raylor, Santon).

Dummett has become a key defender for us based on his ability and versatility.

I can see Sissoko going in the summer though if he maintains his form, which brings me on to another point. Pardew has said in years gone by that we're not in a position to refuse big money offers but our aim is to be in such a position at some point in the future, have we reached that point now? We're running at a profit without any player sales, performing well in the league and doing well in the cup. Is there ever going to come a point where the club doesn't sell itself as a platform to move on to bigger and better things when trying to convince a player to sign for us?

I expect a quiet window. I actually doubt Tiote will go unless Arsenal think they have to have him. I think if we pick up a few points between now and Christmas MA won't sanction any significant purchases. I don't think that's a bad thing either as I would like to see the younger players playing more.

I could see M. Ashley having a premonition on X-mas eve, where he is visited by three ghosts, suddenly he has a change of heart and decides to spend 200M in January on some of the best footballing talent

Or we will sell our decent players for a profit and get in cheap, just about adequate replacements, harvesting the club for as much PL Money as feasibly possible!

    No business at all.

If we were to sign I think we'd be looking at a striker, centre back and creative midfielder in that order. I don't think we will. Tiote looks most vulnerable but it depends who would take him?

My worry is that we are playing so well atm, Ashley won't feel the need to dip his hands in his pockets. Probably the reverse and sell one or two of our star performers.

I'm not carried away with our current form because when you look at our fixture list until Xmas it doesn't bode well. Points will be hard to come by and we could be back in the lower reaches come transfer window.
If, we can upset some of the big teams, I don't think A$hley will spend any money, however, I do think Tiote will be away for one.

We've got to eliminate the possibility of another tiresome Europa League campaign, and selling Tiote should take a sufficient shine off the team to make sure we don't finish above 10th.

Tiote going seems fairly likely to me. If we could replace him with a CB I'd be happy with the window. I think our current strikers can get us through to the summer. Don't want to sell anyone other than Tiote though. Possibly Anita if we get another CDM

You'd hope they already had their eye on a CB and potentially a striker too, before January comes around. Not convinced we'll sign a striker with the inroads that Perez has made into the starting lineup, and while it would be great to see some real outstanding talent arrive for the second half of the season, part of me would like to see just how well the lad will do with the responsibility he has been given.

On the CB issue, we definitely need another in, so who would you like to see and who do you think we could make a move for?

We have openly stated we don't like January in the past. I think unless there is serious value (i.e. contracts running down) we won't move. However conversely Jan is a great time to sell when teams get desperate.

We are more likely to sell than buy for me, just the way we operate.

I'd like to get Danny Ings in but can't see Burnley selling as I heard they'll get around £3m compensation if he leaves for Nowt in summer.
A classy ball playing defender similar te Colo would be nice. Taylor and Dummet both look like type to put anything in the way of the ball so a calmer influence would be nice as Colo isn't getting any younger.

Yeah for those three positions I think we will target next, we could do worse than Ings or Beharino. I'd like Will Hughes for the playmaker role. I think he has masses to offer and would fit in well with our younger band of players. Centre back wise is the million dollar question for everyone. Look at Mangala. Man City paid way over the odds. Maybe that young mexican Reyes who played in the Olympics a couple of years back? Not sure where he ended up but had a bit of class.

Hmmm, in terms of 'ins' if I've heard of them then we won't possibly sign them, but if I've never heard if them, then it's a possibility we might sign them.

As for 'outs', at least one of Tiote, Sissoko & Krul could get offers. Tiote most likely to go. MYM may go out perm, but probably depends on his injury.

The rest will be loan deals / youngsters.

Might depend on how we get through december. Tiote may be in less of a rush to leave if we are still going well for instance. If we did get there in good shape still and I was pards I'd be on at Mike to strike when the iron is hot and we look a fairly attractive prospect. I think it would probably fall on deaf ears mind.
