...just in case anyone is interested there are highlights of Caleb Folan's Colarado Rapids against Houston Dynamo in the Mickey Mouse League

    http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/article/2011/07/04/scoreless-draw-leads-more-frustration-colorado

(an un-exciting 0-0 draw) but right at the end, AFTER the whistle has blown for full time, a Rapids player argues with the ref and is given a Red Card! Just prior to the end of the game the player had received a Yellow Card and didn't receive a further Yellow Card but was given a straight Red Card. I query this as how can a player be sent off if the game has already ended? I do remember that our own 'living legend', Dean Windass, was given three Red Cards in one game being sent off, then another for abusing the Ref and a further one for abusing a corner flag I believe, but the game was still in progress.

In a Hearts game a couple of years ago, three players were red carded in the tunnel after the game.

Deano even got a red card in the car park after a game when he was at Bradford, having given the ref a load of verbals.

I'm not sure of the rules, but there's quite a few examples of players being red carded after the final whistle.

Drogba did get a yellow card after the game in Chelsea's 1-1 draw with Barcelona which saw Chelsea knocked out of the competition down to a last minute goal from Iniesta. But they should have had at least 3 penalties all clearly penalties. I remember Drogba shouting in the referee's face after the game and was shown the yellow card.

I seem to remember Cantona getting sent off after the whistle for Man U in Europe once. As OLM said Deano got sent off well after the game had ended, I wonder when the referee's jurisdiction officially ends after a match?

Wasn't that when he went up to the camera and shouted straight into it that the ref was "a ****ing disgrace"?

I can just imagine the ref in the car park going through his bag to find his red card then raising it in the air to Windass! I hope he did! :D

i hope the ref did too!

yeah, it seems legit, and that cheap south american (hes actually american) probably said something pretty bad, it shocked the ref.

folan doesnt seem to be enjoying himself, although at times he got in good positions but had no finishing qualities. typical.

its odd how they are employing two huge battering rams to push through, havent seen that in a while.

The Rapids were without their own "Deano" in Conor Casey who was banned for this match. I had looked forward to seeing him in 'live' action at the start of this season but was very disappointed to find out that he was nothing short of a half-blind carthorse. They seem to 'play to the crowd' in the Mickey Mouse League and look for individual glory with little or no team work.
