One of the life-changing albums of my youth TSS. I played it to my sax-playing jazz musician daughter a while back and the fast bit on "21st Century Schizoid Man" completely blew her away.
There's always... excuse me, can you turn that down please. You'll be saving that person's hearing too.
My wife is currently sporting a black and blue thumb. When I say black and blue, I mean as if she coloured it in from top to the bottom fleshy bit by the wrist, with a marker pen. How did she do it?...... Clapping too hard while watching her friend perform ball room dancing on Saturday Evening. I kid you not.
So, I've got to give a presentation on 'Sport, Nationalism and Globalisation' tomorrow. If there's one thing you ought to know, it's that I hate presentations. I'm still prepping... ugh.
Yeah, I can go with that. I think a lot of earlier rock bands were getting many jazz influences, which is why they were so varied. Some even had jazz instrumentals in their repertoire. I'm at a bit of a quite moment. So many albums gagging to be played that I've switched to the Windows Media Player [less choice, so easier] as I haven't brought all my vinyl over to MP3 yet [that will take months, probably years]. Could be time for Crosby, Stills and Nash [with or without Young] or Moody Blues, or maybe nothing at all.
Don't play this TSS or you will fall in love with them. Strong South African Jazz influences and very brassy. [video=youtube;FYlJ4qnnbZA]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FYlJ4qnnbZA[/video]
Sri Lanka v England just starting after rain delay. England chose to bowl. And I accused Pomps of masochism! Sri Lanka 91-0 after 17 overs (sigh).
Will there be "Match of the Day" on Boxing day, 28th Dec. and 1st Jan. Not sure if to avoid knowing the scores
If any of you like a bit of ROCK MUSIC, then try Keep Sake's new tune called Medical Moon on You Tube. The left sided guitarist is a big Saints Fan and needs the cash to buy his tickets!?!?!?!?!? Spread the word if you like it guys
