Bristol City are determined to attract the next generation of Robins fans to Ashton Gate for a double bill of cup football next month. The League One leaders take a break from the business of competing for points when they host Conference side AFC Telford in the second round of the FA Cup on Sunday December 7 and then take on Coventry City in a Johnstone’s Paint Trophy southern area semi-final three days later. And club directors have decided to afford both games ‘quid-a-kid’ status in a bid to increase attendance at Ashton Gate. Tickets for under-12s will be available for just £1 for both games, although they must be accompanied by an adult. City will be opening the Dolman and Williams Stands for both fixtures, with only away supporters housed in the Atyeo Stand. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased by calling Supporter Services on 0117 963 0600,onlineor at the Bristol Sport Megastore. Meanwhile, the decision to re-schedule the Peterborough game and play it this Friday rather than on Saturday is proving unpopular with City fans. So far, the club have sold less than half of their initial ticket allocation of 677 for a game that will now be screened live on Sky. City took almost 4,000 fans to Coventry in October and sold out their allocation of nearly 3,000 at Swindon earlier this month. But a majority of those who usually travel will instead stay at home and watch Friday’s League One clash on television. Not normally one to complain but why only under 12's it really bugs me when firms, like holiday companies for instance, declare you as a adult at 13. It's not like they can go out and get a full time job or anything is it?
