What would you take realistically points wise? Im quite looking forward to Chelsea as there is zero pressure and it could be a good game to give Giaccherini and Alvarez some game time from the bench before City. Man city is similar, that run can't last forever can it? Liverpool I fear we'll get full of beans on the back of 2 wins over Stoke and Leicester. A point at Anfield would be a tremendous results. Id be content with 2 or 3 points to keep us ticking over before West Ham at home.

Team wise for Chelsea id go (if fit)

    ----------------Pantilimon----------------
    Jones----Vergini------Oshea----Réveillère
    ----------------Cattermole----------------
    Johnson---Larsson---Rodwell---Wickham
    ------------------Fletcher-----------------

If we get any points from the 3 fixtures we will be doing well. Thing is get a point vs Chelsea and confidence will be lifted then you never know. If we get spanked its going to be a long 8 days.

Weve been unlucky with fixtures again this year. Yes know the mags are doing well but Leicester and QPR are home bankers and they got Liverpool and Spurs when they were out of sorts.

We could conceivably have the same points tally come West Ham and confidence would be low. Any points are a bonus imo

Would settle for a good performance against Chelsea, they're by far the best team in the league and will probably just have too much firepower... Think we could get at least a draw off City though, they never like coming up here and Aguero aside none of them have been up to their usual standards. I actually fancy our chances against a shell-shocked Liverpool as well, even at Anfield.

I think we can manage four points. Think we can get a draw from Chelsea, nick a win from City, less hopeful at Anfield like, though Liverpool are s**t, we're away and tend not to do well against out of form teams.

I'm well aware we could pick up no points at all in which case I'll be digging my heels in against the doom mongers as usual. <laugh>

Really? 1 point? I'd rather have a bash at them. 3 points and I'd take it.

parker I disagree about us being lucky with fixtures. Of our 6 wins we've had City, Tottenham and West Brom away and Liverpool at home. I'd have taken 1 win and a draw from those.

I think our run shows, if nothing else, that if you give it a good go any team is beatable. As for "home bankers" I think given the results both of our teams have had over the last year should have dispelled the myth of there being such a thing. If you win the 5-10 "home bankers" you have this season then you'll be comfortably mid-table come May.

ps. I think you can win one of those games - Man City or Liverpool perhaps.

Yeah I think the most likely scenario is three defeats. Surely were due to get beat off City??! Chelsea are just too good this season. Liverpool away is not a happy hunting ground for us.

I'd be ****ing delighted with 2 points!!!

3 tough fixtures, I'm not ****ting bricks against Chelsea though, that win at SB last season was so sweet! After conceding 10 in two games against saints & gunners we've really tightened the ship the last two games.. They've travelled to Germany & played there best 11 so they maybe a little tired & overconfident? Ive gotta agree with Niall Quinn, I really think we can get something.. Man City at home! We always win 1-0 I think Liverpool might be tricky but if they throw another beach ball onto the pitch then we may sneak it <cheers>

    I'd go with:

    ----------------Pants
    Jones---Vergini---O'Shea---Rev
    ----Cattermole----Bridcutt
    Johnson-----Rodwell-----Buckley
    --------------Fletcher

Cattermole and Buckley to break up their play and Rodwell to add some height to the two tiny ones.

I know we are not pulling up any trees but Liverpool look very fragile at the moment so i hope we dont sit back against them.
Chelsea will be tough of course but its like a free swing, we are not expected to get anything so why not have a right go!!
Man City are like Liverpool stuttering along too but they do have a far better team but again free swing, i know if i was a player these would be the games i would be at my highest for, testing yourself against the best!

Chelsea could hump us, even if we turn up. We might that get something out of the other 2 given their form plight, but that usually means nowt to us.

2 points would be good, 3 v decent, more than 3 would be fab.
