Pulis won deserved plaudits for doing what seemed impossible at the point he arrived at Palace, as he not only secured PL safety when they looked doomed, but got them into mid table. Is 11th better than 2nd? No, but was his performance every bit as impressive as that of Rodgers, given the disparity in their resource levels.
