Tolkein based Quenya, the High-Elvish language, on Finnish so you're spot on LTL. The othe Elvish tongue, Sindarin, was based on Welsh.
Tolkein was brilliant with languages. I have always been interested in words and their origins. English often has many words for the same thing where other languages have one or two and I am often delighted when I see a word in a language I don't know and recognise it by it's similarity to an archaic English word. That is one reason I loved Tolkein...he made things up which somehow seemed strangely familiar...so you could believe in his imaginary world.

Nice...... a news crew in Ferguson were screaming to police a women was having a heart attack. They carried her over to the police... Who then tear gased them....
Ah, well I didn't know that, thank you Chilcs. No great surprise but a nice bit of trivia to have to hand anyhow!
Interesting one for Beefy. On my Galaxy S2 I have the last compatible OS, Jelly Bean, I believe. On various services that I don't use I've put them back to their factory default, that is, no updates. I did this once about a year ago. Yet, even though I have not updated those services or directly used them, when I have defaulted them again [just as an experiment] I have relieved storage space on the phone. Naughty Android..! EDIT: Just completed returning the Samsung and Android services that I don't use back to their factory defaults [remember, I did this once before and have never updated them since] and have gone from 223Mbs of storage space left to over 1.0Gb. Very naughty.
So instead of watching what sounds like an awful game, I was on the other end of the camera here taking a photo of Fable and.....who? (I'm amazed at the amount of people who don't know who this is, considering everything he's done). please log in to view this image
