Mike White ‏@mikewhitesport Just had a very frank & honest chat with Hull City defender @pmacca15 on manager Steve Bruce's decision to drop him for Spurs game. #hcafc He might find himself dropped for Man United if he's got too carried away.
Given that even Chester wasn't in the XI, it can't have come as a surprise to him. He's known for some time that there are three CBs at the club ahead of him (and sometimes four).
He's almost certainly done this to facilitate a move. He's not stupid, he knows White will use the interview and White wouldve asked if he could tweet and use Macca's Twitter name so the club will see it.
apparently relations between SB and Macca have been poor for a while now, might be something in Macca to Burnley in Jan rumour.
This is sort of inevitable, Macca, Meyler and to a lesser degree Quinny will want regular football, but when you are improving the teams, some players either accept to be a squad player or move on the a club where they can get regular football like Boydy and Fryatt.
Is he ? Macca has a point unlike Chester after the Burnley shambles mind. If Macca is out then why is he one of the four ? I think our stay in the FAC may well have an impact on the likes of Paul McShane. But on form and when fit our back 3 have to be Davies - Dawson - Chester. Even Macca knows that.
I just listen to it on RH, I think his may gripe was that the comments by SB that after the Burnley game, that some players acted like "big time Charles", and then to be left out on Sunday, by definition implied that he was one of the big time Charlie. I am sure SB was not doing that, and the fact we went to a back 2 on Sunday, which left Chezzy on the bench, is a bit of an over reaction by him.
Since the club appear to be reading this thread; can we not sell him please? I just got that Don't Sell McShane t-shirt from PFTS and I've only had chance to wear it twice. Be a bit of a waste of £20 if he goes in January.
To avoid a riot they could simply give him away. Your "T" shirt will become a collectors item in time .................... honest!!
He's the second one to bring up this 'big time charlies' comment in the media now after Curtis Davies voiced his displeasure the other week. I hope this isn't the start of some dissension amongst the ranks. Are the players really that ****ing precious that a throw away comment can ruffle their feathers? Set of ****s...
If they don't want to be called "big time Charlies", they shouldn't act like "big time Charlies". Throwing a hissy fit in the media or elsewhere is the behaviour of a big time Charlie. Like I said before, if McShane has a problem with his lack of game time, he should **** off.
McShane was dropped because he's currently our 4th choice CB and with Michael Dawson available and a change of formation he wasn't needed. Surely he can see that without playing the victim.
