A lot of people predict Alfie because he is surely due a goal soon <laugh>..

He has to come into form soon <laugh>

.. I think you're going to be disappointed with your bet Musty. I cant see us getting promoted this year <ok>

How long was it before Eddie Johnson scored?

I bet if you added up all Eddie's time on the pitch it would not come anywhere near the drought suffered by Le Fondre.

How long was Ronnie Moore's barren stint?

In terms of value for money ALF is amongst the worst alongside Veli watzit and Cornelius. What makes him stand out as being particularly useless is that, unlike the other names mentioned, he has had plenty of opportunities to play and score and has proved that he can't hit a barn door from 5 paces. Something is seriously wrong at the club when a player like Gestede can score goals freely for Blackburn but couldn't for us. Likewise ALF was useful for Reading but is a flop here. So is the problem the coaching at the club rather than the player?

    Or the style of play?

I have said before that we don't get the ball in the box in dangerous areas often or quickly enough. That limits scoring opportunities.

Our usually poor possession statistic is a further limiting factor. You need to have the ball to score and we don't have it often enough.

ALF and Macheda had good chances at Birmingham and, at least, forced saves from the keeper. I don't recall many other opportunities apart from a Pilkington header second half.

And what did we get? £300k!!! (I think) for someone who has scored 20 goals in 40 league appearances for Blackburn. <doh>

    What a cock up!!!
