I understand that and I felt sorry for him as those two put him in a corner. My respect (and I bet players and coaches too) would go up, if someone like Webb was 'allowed' to say that maybe they got it wrong, but it is hard first time around at normal speed. The bit about the Soldado offside was crying out for him to say something about the limo not being able to see and the red being on the opposite side of play to the Lino and he couldn't see. Both in correct position but unable to see, so not at fault but shows how tough it is for refs. Instead he tried to justify it not being offside.
QPR fan in peace. Good luck for tonight and the rest of the season, especially against the scum from SW6! Really pleased to see the Saints doing so well and long may it continue.
Soldado was not offside as he never touched the ball, but he was obviously interfering with the goalies sight line.
Monday Night Club comments on Radio 5 are so way off the knowledge, and one of the contributors was from The Southern Daily Echo. Don't they listen or take heed about the philosophy of the club..? Plenty of articles in the newspapers have reported it correctly, but no, the comments are miles off.
It's 5am kick off here (S.Korea). I tried sleeping for a couple of hours but I couldn't. Because every Saints game is like Christmas.
He may do this evening, in for Davis, though I suspect he'll just start wide as usual. Cork to start in place of Stevo.
Yes, the linesman could have flagged but didn't. The ref couldn't see clearly. One would hope this has been discussed in the refs get togethers.
