Is this latest announcement going to last as long as it takes for Koeman to be asked at a press conference, whereby he shakes his head and says there have been no bids..? Or is it going to continue..? As I said, we've been here before.

Continue and continue until Morgan leaves. Myself I can't see him going in Jan, but that won't stop teams panic bidding for him.

Would be fun, but no, nor can I. Stranger things have happened though. Lallana left, for example.

I'm in Paris, and all the talk is of Cabaye leaving PSG in January. He'd be a great Morgan replacement IMO.

He certainly will. But what is more likely is one of Morgan's suitors going for him instead as he is more likely to be for sale and for a lower price.

I suppose ideal scenario would be some kind of swap with psg taking Morgan away from our rivals and getting a great replacement . Wages are potentially too high (unless they are close to what we would offer Morgan )

Indeed, I don't know why, but I've had an inkling that Morgan will go abroad when he does move (ever since it became apparent he was here for this season only) - so perhaps he'll move to PSG even if a different PL team comes in for Cabaye.

He almost certainly will - as the only two teams in the PL who want him and who can afford him don't look like getting CL football next season.

Is Cabaye anything like Morgan? I don't think he is. Morgan replacements are like rocking horse ****.

Cabaye is the closest type of CM to Morgan's game. Yes Morgan's a great player - but so is Cabaye and he does exactly the same job in the PSG side as Morgan does for us. As someone who goes regularly to both the Parc des Princes and St Mary's I see a lot of them both

What about Man City? Couldn't an argument be made that they would rather have him than Fernando and Fernandinho?

He counts as home grown. That's the reason people say they want Rodriguez.

They only really want home grown players on the bench to make up numbers though.

They're not going to offload those two any time soon - one of them they only bought about five minutes ago too. Morgan still doesn't have quite the profile for players they want to sign, I'd say. Stupid as that is. If he doesn't go to north London, he'll go abroad, I reckon.

    Or stay?!

Can't we just have a midfield or Clasie, Wanyama & Schneiderlin? Why does he think he has to leave?

Champs League and all that money. If he went to Arsenal/ Utd he would be on about £90k.
