Yet you can't answer either question? I agree with MITO - in his pocket is too strong, but Manquillo did a very good job. So much so, Bolasie had to switch flanks.

Its as simple as this....skertl needs a lot of things to align round him to allow him to play the sort of game he'd like to. as Gerrard's bottling it and not offering any cover skertl can't go attack it and with mingolet unable to sweep up behind as well? well thats a perfect storm for him. while the goals were piling in the other end skertl didn't care too much about throwing a few in last year... however the moment the pressure's come on he's like a cowardly little lamb. the thing is lovern is exactly the same type of player so well done there rodgers. can't start with both in the side end of.
He was good last season but I could have sworn we were talking about this season You'll also find I say he is the often the best option of a bad bunch, not a great defender. He simply isn't a great defender, never has been and never will be.
People laugh about me praising Flanno but he is just as good as Mankiller (better IMO) but despite that, he would bring something that is massively missing from our team; passion! Its surprising how much difference one player can make when it comes to things like this, it often only takes one player to do something to get the others going. It shouldn't be coming from a defender though.
just watching a replay for the fourth time and yes I watched it live this last night/this morning (everytime I watch I see different things). After reading various comments, in the maybe 8 minutes before half time Bolasie had 3 shots on goal so I don't agree that he was in anyone's pocket. re Rodgers, all Swans fans are aware he has his little darlings and will never drop them, frustrating isn't it. There was a comment on page 13 re 2 CP players on the keeper, when I saw that happen I could not believe no defender went to help him. Wall for the free kick was a shocker as well. good luck for the season
Manquillo's last gasp block of Bolasie's shot in the first half saved a certain goal, but that aside I thought he was as poor as the rest of your back four.
Wasn't great defensively, no one was. He did constantly have acres of space when pushing forward though but no **** would pass to him for some reason.
MITO you're an idiot!! It's comments like that from people who should know better that have helped put us in this position. Flannigan may not be the most skilful footballer in the world but he can TACKLE and the's far more than the rest of our so called defence can do. Remeber you have to win the battle before you earn the right to play. At the moment we are not able to even compete in the battle
