HEY!! Stop calling other posters Drama Queens and Doomsday Bashers etc and you might be treated more seriously. Seems you like to dish out the insults but can't take others opinions when they disagree with yours. It works both ways.

Don't blame the ref Brucey. **** red card but it's the player's fault for being a soft ****.

Our pathetically negative attitude to the second half, from before he even got sent off, was the reason we lost. He picked a good team first half and we were brilliant, but half time comes and it's backs to the wall attack v defence. Once again we try to sit back and we lose the lead. If you don't even try to attack you'll concede eventually, we've seen it enough times now. It's depressing to get to 60 minutes and know we're not gonna have another shot. If it was working it'd be easier to take.but it isn't at all and doesn't even look like working. We've got the players to play football, we showed that first half.

The ref was awful. Ramirez throw a punch and should have been sent off, one of the things the ref got right, thanks to the linesman.

Difficult to attack when you're down to 10 men and Spurs pass the ball as quickly as they do. Having said that we had a couple of chances to score a second at 1-1. We played well and didn't get anything but our season will not depend on beating the likes of Spurs or Manchester United.

I thought Gaston had his best performance in the first half. I will need to see the sending off incident again because I initially thought it could have been a foul on him but such rash behaviour was utterly stupid of him. The left side partnership between Robbo and Brady looks it could provide several assists as the season goes on. Let's hope our approach will catch that Man U cart horse Smalling out of position next week.

I thought we where great in the first half and should of scored more goals.

I've just seen the sending off and it's a nothing incident. It actually should of been a free kick to us.

We battled well after the red card.

    I'm encourage by the performance.

Vertonghen kneed Ramirez and Ramirez retaliated with that soft kick. Vertonghen went down like he'd been kicked by a Clydesdale and the linesman saw that but obviously didn't see the original knee. A yellow each would have been fair but regardless of how soft it is, when you make a silly kick at an opponent, you're asking to get sent off.

On TV you could see the incident in the corner. My first reaction was that it was an obv red so I can see why the linesman told the ref to give it. On replay there looked to be far less in it than there was and a yellow would have been more appropriate. Ramirez really should have kept his cool and not forced the linesman and ref to make a decision.

Andy Hinchcliffe, Chris Coleman and Jamie Carragher all can't believe the red card was shown on Sky Sports. Carragher said it's not even a booking.

Agree with them having watched it again on Sky when I got in.

Interestingly, the linesman only flags after the Spurs players around him raise their hands to complain.

You guys should've been 2 or 3 up at half time and we missed a number of good chances in the second. Overall I thought you played well and deserved a point.

I really don't see why there's any debate about the red though, you can't kick out and stay on the pitch. If you let that go then Vertonghen has a right to kick him back and then it snowballs and turns into a farce. The decision I think you guys really should be up in arms about is Soldado standing in an offside position for the freekick leading to the equaliser. You don't often see them given but that doesn't mean it's right and when the 'keeper's having to peer around him as the freekick is being taken then he has to be considered as interfeering. The officials were awful though, Livermore should've gone and they seemed to get more decisions wrong than right, affecting both sides.

Whilst I do think we played very well in the second half, the sending off clearly had a big impact as whilst it's not easy to break down a 10 man side who are winning, the way we'd defended against 11 I could definitely have seen you scoring again. Gaston really let his team down today.

Shame to see you guys down the wrong end of the table, I like Bruce and the ex-Spurs players you have, playing like you did in the first half will see you climbing up the table soon enough though. Dawson was excellent for much of the game and Livermore's strike was quality.

All the best with the rest of the season <ok>

Robbie Mustoe and Robbie Earle both thought it shouldnt have been a red and both thought it should have been a yellow. They also both agreed that the refs are getting out of hand with their discipline during games and are hurting the English game by taking away the physicality of it and punishing players for little incidents that are natural when players fight for every ball.

It's not a red. People who are paid to give their unbiased opinion have said so (see the three names I've said above)
