King Edmund in the 2 45 Kemp-won't be a great price, but looked on good terms with himself at ascot on Friday, a repeat of that would be good enough here -at least he won't be odds on likeuthe other races!

A friend rang me earlier and told me to back Benefit Cut in this race, said he'd been given it as a tip from a bloke he knows. Knowing my mate it will have been some alky dosser in bookies who gave him the tip so I'm taking it with a pinch of salt

Just going to put that up rude hope you dont mind me adding to it the king is 1/1 at kempton and at this distance and with a very sharp time too , also the king boasts the same jockey and mark as last time here . So adding to the fact of his last run and the conditions they stand a good chance laddies has opened with 9/2 which looks very fair , my main concern would be frontier spirit but I think they might be concentrating on Newbury

Kempton 210 CLARA MCCLOUD has opened at 5s with the crooks and should relish the conditions tomorrow

Cool uncle, Smokey hope your info is dodgy -as uncle says -all things in place -the only fly for me is how much Friday's race took out of him -but to my eye he travelled strong and once it was apparent that he had no chance with the winner -Tom was easy on him!

Lyssio really does look well treated stick but 13/2 on azabitmour is a little to tempting for me

    Good morning.
Smokey your friends tip has some substance, the verdict from the Robeson yard is Benefit Cut (2.45 Kempton) is expected to give a bold show and at the very least collect some place money.
Once again I'm not suggesting you follow just confirming what Smokey has already suggested.
    Thanks.

That 2.45 looks an absolute minefield, with Venetia bringing one back from a long layoff, who I would expect to be primed for the race.

Today, like so many weekdays, is a day for me to watch and learn, too many horses running for the future.

Did everyone have a good weekend? What was your favourite performance of the weekend?

Very good weekend Nass, my favourite performance has to be Silviniaco - What a horse he is, I'm still convinced he will win a Gold Cup and really hope he does as he deserves it.

Morning, you types. 2 of my faves run today. Hopefully both will win, without their respective saddle monkey resorting to either slaps on the rump or kicks in the belly, and as a result their futures will look bright come early to mid afternoon. Those bookie chappies aren’t giving anything away re this pair but the double does pay, at the moment, 7/4. I’m sure my regular readers know which 2 I’m ranting on about without me even mentioning them but for everyone else:

West Wizard (12.35 Kempton Park) – was a very easy winner of his sole bumper start but was beaten at very short odds on his only run over hurdles last November. Mr Henderson subsequently made the amazing statement that West Wizard was only ‘5% fit’ that day and then, of course, injury ruled him out of the rest of the campaign. In finishing 2nd in that hurdles race though he finished just 5 lengths behind the subsequently Grade 1 placed Sgt Reckless! If he’s 20 times fitter today just imagine how good he will be for the 11th richest man in Wales. In Mr Henderson we trust and he looks miles better than today’s opponents.

Tistory (1.20 Ludlow) – has been somewhat blighted by injury hence the reason why he has only made 6 appearances for Mr Henderson, the forum’s favourite trainer, since joining his barn 3 years ago. Was a tip top bumper horse and won 2 out of 4 (that’s 50% in old money) over hurdles. Fences are what he should excel over though and this half-brother to dual Grade 1 winner Punchestowns really should be too good for his rivals this afternoon on his bow over the big ‘uns. Long term I don’t think its unrealistic to say he must be a Cheltenham Festival type.

    Good luck all.

West Wizard beaten at long odds-on, in the same novice hurdle, for the second time. Must be some sort of record that!

Good point well made. West Wizard on the old TotePlace would have been a successful bet and the old boy would have been paid out at 1/50.

They will be eating well at Arkle Towers tonight.
