Yes sir.A team to always remember. We should have won Div 1 in 1959-60 and 1961-62 as well, but messed up big time. You may have some family in Tottenham, while I have family in Byron Bay,Australia. Small world!
Indeed a small world as I have family living in Alstonville next to Ballina which is only about 30kms from Byron Bay. My cousin there has a macadamia nut and coffee farm. My family in the UK are mainly in Hull where I lived until my early 20's. Supported Hull City and missed an opportunity to see Tottenham when they came to Hull to play in an FA cup-tie in 1954 which was drawn( you won the replay). Nearly 47,000 came to watch you play City in that match!
That made me look for the programs.Thought I had 'em.Unfortunately not.But that was my first season watching Spurs.I guess my pocket money didn't go to buying a program being a very young lad standing along "the shelf!" But that was the last season the "Push and Run" team played together, barring George Robb on the left wing (my favourite player).Ah.Gentleman George!!!!!
"Tottenham are defensively inept and, up front, they don't look like scoring. I think what is happening there shows that, although people talk about the effect a good manager can have, even they cannot do anything without the right players. People looked at what Mauricio Pochettino did at Southampton and thought when he went to Spurs that he would be fantastic at a bigger club. I'm sorry but he cannot succeed without the raw materials to work with, and Tottenham are well short." (Lawro, BBC Football website) Ouch! Unfortunately, the BBC's most infamous tramp is probably correct. He's even gone uber cautious and put 'Pool down for a draw.
Spurs? Score three goals?? Only if Hull forget to leave the changing room. Even then our lot would struggle!..
Ull fan in peace.. our lot should be more or less at full force. Dawson, Hudd and Livermore should be up for this. cracking game!
It's some years since we have been this pessimistic about Spurs chances as a team. I still think we have a decent squad with potential, I'm just not sure about the management.

Afternoon, people. With the results this weekend, a win is a must merely to ensure we remain among the current tier 2 bunch.
"I haven't seen him play but he is described as a powerful Centre Half which is just what we need." Last season in the U21s he was a penalty magnet in the games I watched him. Hopefully he has raised his game since then if he is in the senior fold.
