Is Sakho not injured? Or literally just returned from an injury? Would like tosee him in the squad at least if he is fit
So looking like the line up not many/any? of us wouldve gone with Lets see how it turns out, Im not having the attitude of we've lost before a ball is kicked. Lets see how they do
Can't believe Can isn't playing. Been our best midfielder in last couple of games. Lambert playing up top on his own with Lallana/Sterling either side should be interesting. Palace not been in great form recently so hopefully can take advantage and use it as a kick start for the season.
Got Brendan what are you thinking? That midfield has no muscle. Crystal Palace are managed by Niell Warnock, we need extra muscle for this game, it will be physical. Borini left out again. I'm now even more convinced that he has a transfer away agreed and no one wants him to get injured. I have no idea why Can is not starting. We better get a win today and have my doubts proven wrong.
Like others, don't understand why Can is on the bench. Why is Johnson starting when there's a natural LB on the bench, why isn't Toure starting, why do we have the most lightweight midfield in the PL playing Palace. Ah well, positives. I'm pleased Lallana and Lambert are finally getting a start together. They linked up brilliantly at Saints last season, about time they got some game time to show if they can rekindle that linkup.
Sick of seeing Johnson getting an automatic starting slot when he's done nothing to deserve it. Its beyond a joke now. I know if I were Palace who'd I'd be targeting, wouldn't be surprised if Palace use their right hand side alot today.
Only positive is he's playing LB and usually plays better there. At least when he cuts in for his traditional shot he's on his right foot so should get it somewhere nearer the goal.
Get the **** in! Lallana with an awesome dink into his path, brilliant first touch and calmly slotted in.
Blimey, Allen looks like he's had his ear cut off with the amount of blood coming from side of is head.
#bbcsalford Liverpool's fans are in full voice after that opener. "Poetry in Motion," they are claiming. It is a bit early for that perhaps. When else do they whinge about fans singing?
