I tell you what, comeback and tell me I am wrong on Boxing Day. If I am right we will be in the bottom three by then. If you are right we won't. Not enjoying saying it but no point pretending things are better than they are.
Stats can be twisted or distorted to suit any purpose. The facts remain :- i) Blackburn did not look like scoring until Silvestri's blunder ii) Apart from the goals, Leeds had clearly the best opportunity of scoring when Antenucci was 1 on 1 with the keeper and smacked the post iii) Leeds have been mismanaged. Hopefully with Redfearn in charge, things will change iv) You'd expect a home team that has only lost once a home this season to have more shots and possession. v) The facts remain Blackburbn DID NOT LOOK LIKE SCORING UNTIL SILVESTRI'S BLUNDER
Must agree withe Elland re Redders being the man for the job. He knows some of this team for years and certainly no other manager is likely to get anymore out of them. We were one daft mistake from Silvestri, not for the first time, from getting what most would have taken as a very good result. Too early for the panic button yet
According to the official BBC website, we had more possession then Blackburn. Explain? http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/30064890
Only one stat matters now. Blackburn 2 leeds 1 The same sort of stat that hasnt been good enough for three years and it ain't improving. As I said, let's see who ends up being proved right. No skin off my nose to be almost the lone voice. If you just want everyone to say things are good when they clearly arnt say the word and I will stop wearing my fingers out. The reaction of all of you in the glee club has already driven Ristac elsewhere do you only want people to sit round their keyboards singing kumbyah?
Chippy, you're talking Bo^^ox. We lost thanks to a goalkeeping screw up & an iffy penalty. Take the goalkeeping screw up out of the equation, and we would have strolled the game. Suffice to say, I would imagine that Redders gave Silvestri & Cooper an earful.
I am reassured and now know we arnt one of the worst teams in the league and we arnt in more danger of being relegated than last year. I am being ironic in case you don't realise.
We would be a better team than last year though if we had the prolific McCormack still with us. He single handedly kept us afloat last year God bless him
I was referring to an earlier post Chippy where you said - Our team is unfit. That's why we only compete for half a game. Many in the first team arn't good enough. Doukara is s**te, Adryan is lazy. Our centre backs ( all of them) are league one at best. I disagree with all of this. Heyho, we move on to playing Derby. Should be a good game
I watched the game on a live link and we were on top until another stupid defensive f** up. I mean even at schoolboy level you're told, if in doubt put it out. As for the peno, the ref was duped. Had we scored the second we'd probably won it.
Morning shaks. I wonder who covers most mileage in a year supporting the whites? I'd say you're close to the top there
Not sure about that Eire, I'm just being grumpy........I know what Glory means, I just took it the wrong way.
Antenuccis effort was on 85 mins, we would have won. Even after we gifted Blackburns first, they were slowing things down dramatically. Taking ages over goal kicks, throw ins. They knew we were better
