Decent first half, lots of possession and creating some good chances. Should have been at least 1-0 up though.
LVG will be delighted let off the hook big time,can't believe its still level against the poorest UTD I've seen in years.
At this level you have to take your chances and we're not taking them at the moment. Manure have plenty of goal threat so we really need to be wary for the second half. So far we're playing well, we just need to convert that into goals.
Can't believe were not winning! We've totally dominated them. We've moved the ball quickly and directly and given there defenders something to worry about. Until about the 37th minute there offensive players hadn't done a thing. There only period of sustained pressure came from poor decisions from the officials keeping them in set pieces. They've showed in flashes that they are dangerous and we need to keep the pressure on. I was up out my seat half way to celebrating when de get saved wilshere a shot.
Seems like the same story every year and against every big club ... We play well but they score. Good first half - hopefully we can break them down!
They haven't scored yet! We've totally outplayed them so far but it's still 0-0 with 45 mins to go. It could still end any way but if the second half is like the first I'd expect us to burry at least one chance!
There is always the feeling of the inevitable against United though. We have this mental block against them (and other 'big' teams) that we can't seem to shake off. Anyway, I think Arteta has been brilliant but Ramsey is really out of sorts. I'd personally bring him off if he doesn't show any improvement in the second half. I'd also like to see Giroud against this young defence.
Ramsey has had a few moments of quality, his off the ball movement has been very good today, some great runs and good positioning to put the ball back in for welbecks back heel. But he has been quieter than normal and not involved in play as much as normal. I'd give him a little longer on the pitch and then think about rosicky comming on.
Conclusions drawn so far... If LVG doesn't change our formation and also our midfield (Mata and/or Herrera on asap) then he needs fcking shooting. If we continue as we are and Arsenal don't win, then Wenger needs shooting.
If he's getting replaced by Cazorla then it isn't good at all. I'd rather Wilshere play. Cazorla no matter his form, will rule Fellaini.
If we lose this game, it'll be the worst loss of the season. This United team was there for the taking FFS.
