If it was my daughter, it would have got nowhere near a court, if I was certain that rape had taken place, I'd have taken care of it without taking a chance on twelve random people deciding who they believed.
I think I asked first. If I was his Mum I would have kicked his arse for thinking that treating a woman like that is anything but wrong every day of the week and twice on Sundays. His ears would still be smarting now after the verbal bashing he would have got from me.
Do you reckon she's had complete amnesia? Whenever I've been paralytic, things tended to come back to me over a few days later. I just cant accept it. She hadnt drunk anywhere near enough to be into oblivion.
The case was more about her being in a position to consent. I'm not aware of what she can and can't remember. Did she give evidence?
I don't think there's anyone on this thread claiming Evans didn't show a lack of respect for women(he's probably a grade one prat), but that's not what he was charged with and being a prat isn't enough to get you a spell in prison. If he'd been seen dragging a girl into a bush and raping her, then we wouldn't be having this conversation and he'd probably have got eight years and nobody would be questioning it and he'd almost certainly never have played football again. There's just too much of this case that doesn't ring true to too many people and that's why it's surrounded by doubt and the Criminal Cases Review Commission are fast tracking an investigation into it.

But she'd had black outs before? Cheds mates filmed them through the window? Wouldn't that show his innocence?
In fact these mates who were watching. Did they give evidence? Surely he would have called them to prove his innocence if they were witness to no crime being committed but just consenting people having sex?
Obviously I meant if the case was clear cut, not that a bush is required for a rape to take place. She didn't drink enough to claim she couldn't remember anything(she wasn't even pissed enough to order a kebab ffs), she wasn't sure if she consented or not and she offered to drop the case for £15k. Even the girl he was convicted of raping doesn't know if she was raped or not, I can't see how anyone would be comfortable with this conviction, even if Evans is a clown shoe.
Only if they get the bit where he asked to join in and he said yes. Otherwise its just 2 people shagging isn't it.
