Agreed. I was involved in a threesome once, always wanted to try it but it just wasnt for me Dave, Steve i said, its just not doing owt for me....
You might be a potential rapist, or someone might have raped you. Guilt before innocence regarding rape cases in the 21st century.
Agree, if we now have t prove consent was given, rather than the other way round, we will have to start making women sign contracts every time. I could be sent down for hundreds of rapes now, as even though consent was certainly given, I have no way of proving it.
Do you have a link to an example? Someone can claim innocence as much as they like, but asking for a reduced sentence has to be an acceptance of the judgement.
What utter rubbish, if I was convicted of a crime I didn't commit, I'd obviously want the sentence to be as short as possible.
Can you post a link to an example of what it is you reckon he's claiming, because as it's written, and i the context of Evans, it looks like bollocks to me?
What worries me is that women have a trump card. One thing they will always have over men is the ability to cry rape if they sleep with someone whilst drunk, for no reason other than their own embarrassment.
A bloke just got a five year prison sentence for raping a girl who never actually accused him of rape, she just said she couldn't remember what happened. I'm with Erik, it's a dangerous precident to set, not just for men, but also for victims of rape.
From the transcript it looks like Evans did ask for the sentence to be reduced to 4 years. Not sure if he was asking for permission to go to the Court of Appeal to get the sentence reduced or whether the 3 judges considering the application could have reduced the sentence.
