I don't think I could ever come to expect our team to win. The best I ever do is hope, we are just not that good. They've picked up a little of late. I think a score draw if its Willo/Dummett - 2-2. If either Colo and/or Saylor is fit I think we might nick a 2-1 win. It all depends how we set up. We only look capable of counter attack. If QPR are cute they'll just sit tight and make us press the game. I could forsee trouble then. As it is though Harry is a have a go type manager which might suit us. If Pards gets brave and chucks in Streete or Satka, then I see a 3-1 defeat.

with basically all our central defence injured, i reckon it'll be a high scoring draw, or a tight loss.

    something like 2-2, 3-3, or a 2-3 loss.

Hmm interesting one. Our recent revival has centred around playing 433 with fast breakers and hitting on the counter in the main. However, if I was Pardew (and thank **** I'm not) this would be a game where I would switch things around. We have lost Abeid to injury, but instead of replacing him with another midfielder I'd like to see us bring in another striker. Play Cisse or the returning Riviere from the start instead and go 442. Have Colback and Sissoko as the central guys and Cabella and Sammy switching to out and out wingers. I think this is one game where we don't need the extra man in midfield and should instead go straight for QPR's jugular and batter them from the start. Riviere in particular is strong and quite quick, and I reckon Perez would link up well. He looked good against Palace when playing with a genuine strike partner (Armstrong) rather than out on his own. I would also like to see Armstrong get at least 15 mins of gametime towards then end to change things up, we need to start blooding him more for his development.

We can always revert to 433 for tighter matches but we need to switch things around in certain games to ensure that we don't become too predictable and get sussed. I think this is a good opportunity for that.

Defense- tough one to call. If Saylor is fit I'd go with him and Dummett centrally and retain Haidara and Janmaart at FB. If not, I shudder to imagine Willo and Dummett in the middle. Maybe bring Streete in at senior level- a bit wild perhaps but certainly he is a strong defender who would not be bullied by Austin and co. Manure have brought through two novices at times this season out of neccessity (Blackett and McNair) and neither has disgraced themselves, so maybe its time to give one of our academy defenders a chance?

If only we did as well in the real league table as we do in the injury table...

Defence is certainly a concern. I'm hoping Dummett continues his good form, but I have a slight suspicion that's partially due to Coloccini's recent improved performances. Charlie Austin has been on fire recently so now would be the time to prove he's a good CB regardless of who starts alongside him.

If we stay tight and organised defensively then I can see us nicking this one 2-1. If we let Austin and Zamora get to us then we will lose.

So Pardew has confirmed that Colo, Tiote, Aarons, Abeid and obviously Obertan will all be missing. Saylor was classed as a "major doubt".

Given this my line up would be:

    Krul

    Janmaat, Williamson, Dummett, Haidara

    Raylor, Colback

    Cabella, Sissoko, Sammy

    Perez

Subs: Elliott, Saylor (if fit), Streete, Gouffran, Cisse, Rivierre, Armstrong

Very attacking bench but mainly due to lack of midfield options. Possibly have Bigi on the bench instead of Streete.

I'd like to think we can win this one quite comfortably but this is NUFC and as soon as we start feeling confident....

NUFC.COM: Squad: Davide Santon, Gabriel Obertan, Siem De Jong and Rolando Aarons remain out, while Fabricio Coloccini and Mehdi Abeid have joined the injured list.

Doubts remain over the fitness of Cheick Tiote, but there is optimism that both Steven Taylor and Emmanuel Riviere will return to the squad after unspecified knocks.

With Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa also out due to a hamstring problem (although there seems no possibility that he would have been recalled from AS Roma if he was fit) United brought Remie Streete back from Port Vale.

The 20 year-old will provide cover in the continued absence of Curtis Good, while fellow rookie Lubo Satka remains on the fringes and a reserve team regular.

I hope Saylor does revolver in time. He might not be ideal, but with Colo out we need him to partner Dummett. Willo isn't a leader and him with Dummy could leave us seriously exposed. Looks like Tiote still doubtful though.

Anyone know if my ticket for the Gallowgate will get me in to the gates at the Leazes concourse? Trying to meet someone for a pint before game on Saturday and inside SJP is the only practical option. I know I can go in any gate in the Gallowgate but never tried another stand before.

I have a bad feeling about this.... Jimileysbaldhead hasn't said "3-1 to the Toon" yet - and until he does we're doomed!

I'm confident of a 3-1 win today, even with our injury problems.
