This was your own overactive mind in this instance.
I was wondering what a player like that's profile would be in our scouting centre's computer, seeing that we supposedly have information on every player - ie. a big red cross, or black mark etc. Do not touch - under any circumstances.

Somehow we signed a bad egg like Osvaldo, a shirker like Ramirez, a fat arse like Forren, and the worst goalie in the league.

I think the black box is possibly full of smoke and mirrors.

Unless the excuse is that the portakabin black box wasn't up to the same standard.

A lot of late challenges today by FLT, in your role as this thread's hairtrigger. You'd be off today if this was a football pitch. #kneejerk

thanks. sounds like you'd get 5/10 as referee..... hardly rash challenges, were they :) I got the ball in at least one of those!

Could be. We signed 8 players in the summer window, all of whom have been excellent, although Gardos hasn't had as much game time as the others. I would rather use those as examples of what the black box offers us, than players signed 2 or more years ago.

Several of them clearly heavily influenced by the manager in both selection and in terms of being able to get them. So far so good on Bertrand and Gardos though.

Have to wonder why compromises were made in terms of character on record signings, unless you assume they didn't collate that information.

edit: or overruled by ambitious chairman.

But really, in that version, when you pulled back the curtain, it was just Nicola sitting there on his own.

You reckon he's eventually going to start questioning his lack of game time in the league? Or do you think he's been promised both cups' games, and fancies that he'll get Toby's place at the end of the season if he leaves.

He looked about as happy than Victor did coming off the bench when I saw him.

Then again Victor looks a range of miserable to po faced most of the time. Not sure he means anything by it.

edit: need one of these for victor

Not condoning any of the above but why is Rooney allowed to be a role model, have a high profile position in society and earn £300k when he admitted to threesomes with prostitutes?

TBH I don't get why in the last couple of years this sort of thing has become massive with pressure groups meaning that justice is no longer served in any shape or form.

I remember the Angus Deyton and Richard Bacon affairs a decade or so ago yet now, when this sort of furore is rife in society those 2 are free to do what they want to do. The difference with a footballer is that unlike the 2 above he won;t be able to return to his profession in 10 years time when the dust has settled.

In my eyes the job or earnings has to be taken away from this. Either he has served his time or he hasn't. If he hasn't served his time then put him back in jail. If he has served his time as decided by the system of justice in this land he should be able to do what any other person who has served their time should be able to do.

It isn't for the public to decide that someone should be punished further for their crimes. That is up to the justice system and if the public aren't happy with that then they need to direct their dis-satisfaction at the justice system itself.

Because they consented, and he compensated them for having to see him in the noddy. :)

there is a difference in sentencing but not in a way that people can define it differently
    http://www.cps.gov.uk/legal/s_to_u/sentencing_manual/s1_rape/

2-3 years difference. doesn't seem a lot to differ someone pulling a woman off a wooded path at knife point and misjudging a drunk woman's consent.

    Yeah. I believe you!<whistle>

Must also be a bit of a chore trying to find a 48 kph speed sign. After all, converting from mph would involve using miles.

Still, no matter! I'm off for a 0.568261485 of a litre of cider.<cheers>

thought we were talking mpg. evidently they didn't see fit to force us to use metric distance measurements as it wasn't a unit in which goods are sold (though pints of milk and alcohol escaped). it's a mess of a system as is.

I've been trying for years to get my own system of weights and measures units put into place. This is the hundredweight-nautical mile-fortnight system which I think would simplify things nicely.

Now, can we get this thread back on topic, whatever that was?

might as well prune the thread back to where the ched evans situation was brought up then.

broad topic, is DW being purposefully mischievous?
