Remember the name. http://www.thefa.com/news/england/development/2014/nov/england-u16-scotland-victory-shield-report
Always daft heaping too much pressure on a 14 year old, but he really did look the business when he came on. Strong, two footed, great touch, scored the winner and could have had two more, but for some excellent keeping. Keep up the good work, young man!
The Sun June 28th 2019 Stoke City have completed the £6m signing of 20 year old Chelsea Striker Martell Taylor-Crossdale. The England Under 21 star completed a 5 year deal for £40,000 a week. Taylor-Crossdale whose first team opportunities had been limited at the London Based European Champions, making just 26 league appearances since breaking into the first team two years ago, scoring 5 goals, was delighted to complete the deal. "It's all about playing," said Taylor-Crossdale "Stoke is a big club and I think I can do well for them if given the opportunity, I am grateful for all that Chelsea have done for me, but as a young lad all you want to do is play, I will get that at Stoke, hopefully I can pick up a trophy or two along the way". I will remember the name......
We need to print this off and leave the name blank so we don't have to make up a new statement 3 times each season !!
You know its going to happen, always does when we get an exciting youth prospect, fringes of the first team for 2-3 seasons, scores a couple goals, puts in 1 or 2 great performances, then its off to a mid table club Ok yes I am cynical
Hard not to be, but I think we really will see some kids come through in the future, due to the change in the economics of the game. Can only hope.
