http://http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2730307/Malky-Mackay-Iain-Moody-investigated-FA-sexist-racist-homophobic-text-messages-time-Cardiff.html There you go Queens. The texts were revealed by Cardiff's investigation into whether there was anything dodgy in the £50m MacKay spent on crap players. Now Dave Whelan has appointed him at Wigan and also weighed in about how racial stereotyping isn't in anyway offensive. Ignorant t**ts. Couldn't care less about Rio, but if he gets banned for a word, these idiots (still 'under investigation') would not be top of my employment list.
"The Jews don't like losing money," Whelan told The Guardian. "Nobody likes losing money. I think Jewish people do chase money more than everybody else. I don't think that's offensive at all." Nice one Dave, Malky will be right at home.
A Chinese community leader, Jenny Wong, also said Whelan was condoning racism by saying it is “nothing” to call a Chinese person a “chink”. Wigan's shirt sponsor has pulled out already. Mackay and Dave, a match made in heaven
Just out of interest ... Why is it okay to call someone from Britain a "Brit" and someone from Australia an "Aussie", but it is not okay to call someone from Pakistan a "Paki"? I can understand Yank, Kraut, Frog, Paddy, etc being offensive. I suppose that something is offensive if someone is offended by it!
Cheers Stan ( i think) Makes depressing reading and left wondering WTF is left of our game. I can undertsand players being petulant and demanding high wages but ot from the support staff. Im sure he aint the only one, and im sure our "leader" (& Rosie) have a few slightly crooked deals, Very happy we didnt get this clown for our manager (as championed by some) and feel we've dodged a bullet. Im sure we arent "whiter than white" but these 2 are scum. Hope the end up in a nice "chinky" jail somewhere (ref to texts) Thanks all Mods feel free to close if you want.
Not so sure about the negative connotation of Yank in that list? "Over There" is a 1917 song popular with United States soldiers in both world wars. It was a "propaganda" song designed to galvanize American young men to enlist in the army and fight the "Hun". The slogan "The Yanks are Coming" is derived from this song:- Verse 1 Johnny, get your gun, get your gun, get your gun. Take it on the run, on the run, on the run. Hear them calling you and me,Every Son of Liberty. Hurry right away, no delay, go today. Make your Daddy glad to have had such a lad. Tell your sweetheart not to pine, To be proud her boy's in line. Verse 2 Johnny, get your gun, get your gun, get your gun. Johnny, show the "Hun" you're a son-of-a-gun. Hoist the flag and let her fly Yankee Doodle do or die. Pack your little kit, show your grit, do your bit. Yankee to the ranks from the towns and the tanks.[8]Make your Mother proud of you And the old red-white-and-blue Chorus Over there, over there, Send the word, send the word over there That the Yanks are coming, the Yanks are coming The drums rum-tumming everywhere. So prepare, say a prayer, Send the word, send the word to beware -We'll be over, we're coming over, And we won't come back till it's over, over there. please log in to view this image please log in to view this image http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Over_There
I think prince Harry called a Gurka Paki and had to apologise. I should get offended by being called a pizza eater, mandolino snd so on. I think we are overdoing. The only time i got seriously annoyed was when a friend of mine said "you live in west London , do you support Chelsea?"
