Bollocks, you and others on numerous occassions have tried to play down what hes done. You lot despise him both as a man and a manager. Thats known as job done.
Looking for that Tumble weed gif for U1R, I found this one too, which I'd just like to share with the group.... please log in to view this image
Yes, but as I say the team itself is part of that standard. Man United, Chelsea, Liverpool, whoever, are improving (or at least supposed to be) all the time. The standard of other teams grow and your teams grows with it.
At the end of the day comparing the competition is pointless. You can only beat what is infront of you, whether it be easier or harder is irrelevant. That's why I find the comment such as United won the league by default this year as other teams were **** etc stupid. United won the league as we were the best team over the course of the season
You are an imbecile, you have failed to grasp the complexities and just jumped upon something you think suits your point. It is like talking to my ten year old nephew.
Yeah, I agree. The point I was making was that the best team is likely to win, no matter what the competition. Put Usain Bolt against 5 sprinters, put him against 10, he'll win both races.
I don't disagree. The biggest difference now is there is more money to be made therefore more games. The CL doesn't get really interesting until te knockout stages barring a couple of decent group games. Liverpool won it when they won it as they were the best at the time an the same with us.
I agree up to a point and that is about utd this year, yes they won the league and deserve some credit for that. However, claiming this proves they are a great team is a bit like U19R claiming he is a genius becuase he came top of the remedial class.
I didn't claim they were a great team did I ? I said they were the best of the course of the season - the league table doesn't lie. This United team isn't great,in some respects, but it's still good enough to win the league
Nani wouldn't be the best player in Italy in fact if he went to the Holland or France he wouldn't be the best player there either (and if you insist I will back that up with "accurate" evidence). No one doubts MAFs standing as a very well respected manager but as a respected man? The same man who didn't so much as grumble when his team pulled out of the most prestigious national cup tournament in the world? The same man who shows no grace in defeat (apart from when he is in shock from another Barca mauling)? The same man who pertains to being a working class hero whilst cosying up to Blair and his cronies and then accepting a knighthood in front of far worthier people? The same man who threw his toys out of the pram when his son got rightly sacked and withdrew all his loan players? The same man who still wont speak to the BBC because they have the audacity to criticise him (nothing to do with his Sky and MUTV work of course)? Why should you care about any of this...basically you shouldn't, not after all you have witnessed at your club over the past two decades...but to claim MAF as a great man...he isn't fit to lace Sir Bobs brogues.
