I haven't had a fry up for a while and was considering having one this weekend.

What is the ultimate breakfast? Full English? Continental? Toast Tea and biscuits?

So when you've had a few the night before and you get up on a Saturday or Sunday morning ravenous with hunger what is your choice.

I'm a fan of a full Scottish: bacon, sausages, black pudding, haggis, beans, two eggs (poached), tomatoes, hash browns, few token mushrooms, and couple of slices of toast.

An excellent start, never had that but it sounds great there's a full Welsh version which is Bacon, Sausage, eggs, beans, fried bread, lava bread and fried cockles.

This is good... i needed suggestions.

two poached eggs? I prefer a poached egg to any other variety. For ease i use the cling film route which makes poaching eggs as easy as easy can be.

    bacon.... check.

I don't have anything else but beans though today... sigh.........

what type of bread is best for this..... hotel toast IMO is best cos for some reason its thicket than what we buy (not in america bagel eating freaks) and so you get this crisp, not so hot, nice to butter stuff...

hotels in general are best for bufft...

    mini criossants, strawberry jam....

    then hot breakfast......
then.... well I like to mix the juices on offer

then......... its kind of nice to get a couple rolls and make bacon buttys.

    Sausages (proper ones, not Richmonds!)
    Bacon
    Fried egg
    Chicken drummers
    Toast
And spicy beans! (my own recipe, well most Indian familes do it this way - beans with onions, masala, salt, and chilli)

I find if you really want a proper heart attack...... the farm soad bread fresh, buttered both sides then fired on pan (dry) is BEST...

I have the bcon and poched egges going right now.

Do you a) microwave or b) burn in a saucepan... your beans... the wife likes to reduce the beans to mush in a saucepan.

I put them in a sieve to get rid of a lot of the sauce and then just heat them in a pan.

Saucepan! All the way! My cousin used the microwave and I just was flabbergasted. Also, put a knob of butter in the beans as well (in the saucepan) which will make it richer/creamy. <ok>

Any big fry up with a large mug of tea will do. Hash browns are for a pre nooon and chips after......and no bloody beans!
