There is a big difference in the money too. I'll list reasons why footballers wouldn't survive in either era. Back then,football was a ''contact sport''. On the other side,footballers are now health conscious athletes.Back then,players could smoke like chimneys and murder pints and play football,now its all healthy living.Even up until the late 90s,footballers were having the sneaky *** every so often.Vialli smoked cigars on a regular basis.Even ''Two bob Teddy'' was keen on the benson and hedges every so often.
