I've never ever rated him and used to laugh at him with my kid when he played for City so I don't think there's talent there at all.
There are so many 'experts' in the game that talk about his natural talent and how he could be world class - but I'm with you, I just can't see it. I've rarely seen it bar the odd wonder goal.

Lambert scored 13 league goals last season so yeah he's rubbish Nobody's saying he's the best thing since sliced bread, just give him a chance. Him and Lallana got 22 league goals between them maybe, just maybe they could make it work for us, as a temporary fix or whatever.
How many from open play? It's a shame that we've actually come down to this level where we are talking about Rickie Lambert as a Liverpool player and how he could be a solution. In fact, I'll go as far as saying I'm p*ssed off at his signing (among others) because we are supposed to be a top 4 club with aspirations of getting CL every year and winning the league. I know he was signed as a backup but f*ck me, he's nowhere near good enough to be at this club even as a bench warmer. Call it football snobbery - I just don't want us to be signing mediocre players regardless of how limited their role may be or signing average players for big prices. So all in all, Lambert is a good player for a small club. We are LFC and we should be aiming higher - time to have a bit of ambition.
No idea how he scored his goals I only watch us these days, no real interest anymore in wider football world. It's all very well saying he's not up to standard but he's our player now and we should be backing him, the lad left a club he was adored at, scored lots of goals to come to this present set up ... his purchase was to bolster the squad, no doubt and we couldn't have foreseen the mess we've started with but he's fit and ready to go so I say let him have a go with Lallana - goodness knows we've got a ready made partnership right there when we have none anywhere else.
situation 1: no signings possible...... have to make do. situation 2: in the past but.... signings in summer should never have allowed this scenario. for me ok fine, we all wat the best.. but theres no point no in thinking what if. the sceanrio needs fixing... and if that includes a head taking trip to boston fine. but fix this lfc...
