Just seen on the BBC rumours page Brandon Rodgers is looking to get Bertand in on loan. I do believe he is a Left Back. Could be a chance they are waiting until they get a replacement in before releasing N.Taylor.

Don't normally start threads on rumours but I am booooored!

    Hurry up pre-season

Yep, he is a Chelsea reserve LB, appears to have fell behind van Aanholt in the pecking order. Looks like good news.

Yeah, Bertrand is a LB. Chelsea said a few weeks bakc that he'd be loaned out this season, so this is a possibility.

Just read my mind Smudger. Would be better for Jose to go to Chelski and we can have Arnie and a ton of cash.

He's only just signed a new long term contract meaning he'd probably cost a small fortune now

I wasn't that bothered about this Taylor bloke, but with Swansea acting like tits I hope we sign him.

So because the swans are looking after their own interests in regards to Taylor , they are acting like tits ?

Now don't throw your toys out of the pram, he is worth a damn sight more than a million, it will cost us more to replace him, why the hell should we roll over because you are a bigger club than us ?

    Fair point well made.

Out of interest where do you see his ability at the moment (Prem standard?) and what do think his potential is?

Probably should have made his release fee more than a £1M then mate. Don't matter how big the club is, if errors are made in the contract then they're open to be exploited. Not the first time we've done it, look at Gosling & Ba (to a lesser extent). Ashley maybe a lot of things but as far as business goes he knows his way around and find us some good deals.

He was good in the Championship but wouldn't want him as first choice in PL, and I know Taylor isn't PL proven either but probs a better choice.

There is no release clause at £1m otherwise we would not be able to turn down your very low offer !

Is he prem class ? Well who knows until he plays there, all I can say he is prospect and could make the step up, honestly it will be a step backwards coming to you, I know you think I'm nuts but he won't be your first choice left back and will warm the bench at best, with us he will get a lot of games, if he is good no complaints if people come in for him.

Wouldn't be surprised if he was the Enrique replacement, after all Pardew has come out and said he is not. Pardew's track record of truth telling is not that great, otherwise Carroll would still be here and Barton and Nolan would have contracts.

Barton and Nolan were offered contracts, and Nolan himself said he was a couple of weeks from signing about a month ago, so Pardew hasnt lied there, and Llambias is the one who changed Barton's contract. We rejected the initial 35m bid for Carroll but his agent got him to hand in a transfer request. On that basis, Pardew hasnt lied much at all, he's just working for one of the most difficult (to put it nicely) chairmen around.

He's not lying, but he comes out with some bold statements which he can't guarantee because he's not in charge. Would you be surprised if we sold Enrique and no replacement came in (other than Taylor)?
