Looks like we could have new owners in the near future. Rumours off offers for the tigers on Bbc humberside
When? Did RH report there were rumours of offers? Burns you said someone made an offer for a partials share but no one who Allam considered suitable had made an offer. How does that equate to your headline?
He's going to keep going on about 'people he doesn't think are suitable' as an excuse not to **** off. I can't see it ending any time soon. He'll see it as defeat if he actually leaves. But yeah he's a man of his word and so he's going and that's that. It's just he loves and respects us so much that he knows he owes it to us to find someone who meets his lofty standards of football stewardship to sell the club to.
Like... But seriously, anyone coming in would want to own the circle. Would the HCC sell to a more plausible offer than that of the Allams ? Allams original idea of building a "sports complex" ,was a good idea. It just didn't come off. My question is... Are we worth buying as a business ?
Worth buying as a business? Are you having a laugh? We play in the same league as some of the biggest and most profitable clubs in the World. Would HCC sell the KC ? They'd sell their grandmothers if someone made them a serious offer. Allams idea was to develop West Park and Walton Street along with the KC Stadium. 'Sports Village' maybe if you believe newspapers. More likely a retail park with a top hotel, casino, top gymnasium, and other things that generate income. Hardly a 'Sporting Village' Great idea, pity no-one had the foresight to take them up on the offer. Of course the alternative route of doing **** all pleases some people who wouldn't know an opportunity if it smacked them across the head. And you ask 'who would want to own the Circle' ? Why do HCC want to cling onto it so desperately if it brings them no income at all ? It could be a goldmine ( and should be) One day someone just might realise that and cash in.
We may have new owners at some point in the future, but not imminently, as there have been no decent offers, that's what RH actually said.
A couple of months ago, they had a football finance expert on Radio Humberside and he was asked if City are an attractive option to potential buyers. He said we are, and said the reason for that is because we've got a squad that doesn't really need investing in much more to keep improving. We already have a decent spine to the team with a good manager. When asked about stadium ownership, he said the trend across Europe is now for clubs who DON'T own their grounds and work with their local council, meaning the squad is the only thing you need to spend money on, which Hull City have already invested well in. EDIT: Also forgot he mentioned our geographical location and suggested we fill a large area where there isn't another club for miles around which is attractive to buyers, and have good links to The Netherlands and Belgium to also attract more support.
Of course we will have new owners in the future. That is a fact. No-one has ever owned the club for ever. The answer is to remain in the Premier League because that guarantee's top dollar for the club. And anyone willing to pay top dollar would, without doubt, want the stadium and freehold. The way things are going the Stadium ownership issue could be solved if we attract the right calibre of person(s) or should I say those with plenty of cash because the stadium could be purchased for the price of a decent Premiership striker soon. Or look at it another way. Someone buys the club, keeps Andy Robertson for a couple of years, then sell him on and buy the Stadium with the profits. In fact we have several sellable players at the moment who could attract big money providing we remain in the PL. Not even taking into consideration what we might have coming through the ranks. So 'Worth buying as a business' ? It is the best business in town.
You won't be happy till he has asset stripped the club and sold everything off, then you can stand on the smoldering heap that used to be the KC, and say "look! I was right!"
the reason why he won't "**** off" is because if he does, he will leave the city without a BPL club. That in turn will harm his legacy.
