He plays for Scotland not England so why would you cheer. Baffling I don't give a **** how he plays for the jocks they ****ing hate us
What does that even mean? Is it supposed to be some kind of statement about him being good? Well s**tloads of absolutely s**te players have played in the Champions League. It's a comment that means nothing. Djimi Traore has a Champions League WINNERS medal for playing the same position and if someone said Robertson was going to be the next Traore he'd be insulted beyond belief.
Watch the ''superb'' goal again - watch the lack of a tackle, or tracking, from Sterling, observe the lack of movement/defensive awareness from Wilshere, marvel at Forster being done at his near post ...... the goal was ****, a good defence and tracking midfielders would never have conceded it.
Club over country? I cheered for Brady every time he scored against us and would have cheered for Meyler or Quinn had they scored to. If it had been the finals of the world cup I would have cheered for our lads over the us national team.
Agreed Chazz, I was just injecting a bit of perspective; the ****fest being generated in some quarters by young Robertson's goal is, in my humble opinion, a bit OTT ..... and to be fair, it was REALLY poor defending.
How quickly people become like Man Utd and the other top teams fans when we become a Prem Club. Becoming what most once hated. Very sad and plastic I'm afraid Hull Tigers anyone !!!
You are going to have to explain what you mean because to be honest that makes absolutely no sense. How is caring more about HCAFC and the players who play for it being plastic. I care about us and our players far more than a national team. It isnt plastic, nor does it have anything to do with being a PL club, nor does it have anything to do with being like a Man U fan, nor does it have anything to do with Allam's stupid name change idea. Its about caring about HCAFC and the players above all else. That isnt plastic.
If you think that cheering for another team over the US national team is being un-american then you clearly dont know any Americans nor do you probably know anything about the US. Most Americans A) Dont give 2 ****s about the US national team or B) Cheer for another national team over the US national team with the US national team being their 2nd team. And no its not plastic to have a team or group of players you care about more than another team or group of players. Its plastic to alter that allegiance based off quality, or performance or some other factor. Its actually the opposite of plastic to have a group and consistently cheer for that group above all else. If it was the World Cup Finals and it was the US vs Brady, Meyler and Quinn (Ireland) I would cheer for Brady, Meyler and Quinn.
Many moons ago when we where in the bottom division people moaned at the fact Man Utd fans didn't care about their country football team. People on here are going the same way cheering against their own country. I find it pathetic
He never said he cheered against his own country. He said he cheered when Robertson scored against you. There is quite a difference between cheering for Robertson when he scores and moving to Glasgow and buying a kilt. Whats pathetic is someone who equates past fans and their attitudes about their players to Spanner and his attitudes and reasons for cheering for Robertson scoring.
He scored against England.!!!! Thus cheering for a player who scored against us for another country which isn't right is it !!!
No. I really only care about HCAFC. Now, I do have like 6 channels that show football so I do watch the Mexican, Australian, Spanish, Italian, English, Scottish and the US leagues. I also get all the English Cup games, Champions League, and Europa League games to. There are certain teams I watch more than others but I am not a fan of any of them. As far as the MLS goes I mainly watch LA or SJ since everyone of those teams games are on the local cable channel but I couldnt care less if they win or not.
