Agree we need to take the game to Sunderland. Criticism of some of the midfielders is a bit harsh as I feel they've been played out of position or the combinations have been changed too often to establish any kind of understanding.

I'm not a big fan of playing left footed players on both wings (2 of Mahrez, Knockaert and Schlupp). If we are aiming to get decent balls into Ulloa then a left footed player on the right (and I'm assuming that none of the above can actually cross reliably with the right) is always going to have to cut back onto their favoured left foot, and the ball naturally curls towards the keeper and favours him, whereas a right foot cross from the right will curl away from the keeper and favour the striker.

The worst possible outcome for me is that Nigel ends up playing the diamond with no width, scrambles a turgid 1-0 win due to Sunderland being worse than us and thinks he's found the way forward.

bur de laet is super-human fast which allows that right wing to be so unpredictable with mahrez either cutting in or de laet going down the line

Perhaps he can have a special shirt made with a big yellow 'S' on the front. And maybe he should keep a spare one with 'W' on it just in case things don't go quite as planned (and that wouldn't stand for 'Winger').

Can anyone honestly remember the last time De Laet stuck a decent cross into the box though? It's not really his game, they're almost as bad as Konchesky's!

It's hard for the full backs to get forward when we don't have no one playing directly in front of them with who they can link up with in attacks. There running into at least 2 opposition players with little or no support

We will almost certainly concede 2 so need to pick a team to score 3:

    Smith

    De Laet Morgan Moore Schlupp

    Albrighton Hammond King Mahrez

    Powell Ulloa

Think he's overrated. Good shot stopper but weak in other aspects of his game.

Thats some high risk stuff there putting a 3rd choice keeper in, i cant say that hes really been at fault for too many of the goals we have conceded.

    You are kidding right?

send him down to LR and we'll look after him although we now have a decent 2nd keeper..

    Kasper - overrated..mmmmmmmm!

Queenie - please remember that we have had 2 of the best goalkeepers in the world play for us in Banks and Shilton. Kasper is possibly the best we have had since Mark Wallington. Those of us of an age will always compare to what we have had previously.

I'm of the younger generation, and can certainly say he is better than Raab Douglas <whistle>

Must admit I am not Kasper's biggest fan! Good shot stopper but does flap with corners and crosses, and always finds
somebody else to blame if he does not come for a ball and we concede a goal.

Agreed. I don't think he's a bad keeper but just not as good as many make out. I like my goalie to be commanding the penalty area and he just doesn't do that plus I feel his distribution is often questionable.
