High scoring match, 4-3 to someone in my opinion!

Neither can defend, so now we'll probably draw 0-0... <laugh>

Those two have to the worst pair of pundits ever. Tommo is like all the delusioned dippers thinking his ex team are on the verge of greatness (has done for the last 20 years) and Merson is just a befuddled clown.

With your injury list, this has got to be Arsenal's best chance of actually beating a top side for a while!

Put this on the Arsenal board. With our injuries, and trying to balance attack with defence...

    -----------------De Gea
    Rafael-----Jones-------Evans------Shaw
    ------------------Herrera
    Valencia-------------------------Di Maria
    ------------------Mata
    --------------RVP-----Rooney

Hearing that Jones and Evans could well be back for this. Evans not played for 2 months so maybe Smalling or Blackett instead of him.

I'd be amazed if that was your back 4 to be honest. Whilst some of them may be 'fit', they won't all be match fit and against a quick side like Arsenal, could be very dangerous to use them all.

How many of those players have been reported injured recently and hence will not be 100% match fit?
(My definition of 100% match fit in this case is "started last match and was not reported as injured since then")

By my count it would be:
    De Gea
    Rafael
    Jones
    Evans
    Shaw
    Herrera
    Valencia
    Di Maria

Maybe I got a few wrong, but I think only RVP, Mata and Rooney (who had a 3 match ban) have been playing regularly lately without picking up a niggle in the international break! <grr>

Blackett would be the better option imo, he looked very good in the games I watched before his injury. I'd also stick Wilson??? I think his name is Wilson in let Rooney and Mata feed him, RVP is looking lazy.

I thought about that also. Rafael and Jones should come straight back in. Tbf only Evans is unlikely to be match fit as he's been out for a couple of months. Then it's a question of Evans, Smalling or Blackett against that Arsenal attack?? Don't know but I value Evans experience and big game performances.

It is sad, I really felt for the character and felt like I'd lost Wilson as well! Sign of a good film when it involves you like that

With how much Wilson did for him it really was like losing a friend
