Brady just had a real nice goal. 2-1 to Ireland. Brady has been the real outstanding player on the field for both teams today.
Sky blaming Robertson for the goal. Saying he had nobody outside, he could see everything in front of him (centre back couldn't) and should have ran with Ox and maybe nudged him to prevent the free header.
Just saw the replay and the pundits are talking bollocks. The only way Robertson could defend that is by being inside the man so that he can head it away, which clearly wasn't possible as Ox ran through the middle of the pitch - where the left sided CB should be - so Robertson would have had to be completely out of position in the first place to defend that ball.
It was. From what I have seen today Brady needs to be on the field against Spurs. He is in excellent form.
On an unrelated sidenote, where the hell is Brady? I'm very surprised he isn't on here spouting his usual drunken ****e.
The biggest positive from these two games so far has been Clyne. It seems we have a decent RB now. For the moment anyways. Glen Johnson is hopefully now history.
His problem is so many good players in his position. We've got very little choice at CB, but in terms of wingers and no 10s we've got **** loads of good options. Lallana would also rightly feel aggrieved if he didn't get a game.
