Well you've managed to call me an "idiot" three times and a drunkard a couple of times in running your post total up 10% to 44 today after almost four years of relative silence on this board young man, so I probably should respond rather than ignoring you which I would normally do.

Firstly I was not suggesting that Macca should take Livermores place in MF but that he would be a potential back up in that role just as he is at CH, his obvious position. I believe Steve Bruce has occasionally used Alex in that role in MF and I would think that Paul with his movement and aggression could do a similar job if required, but only if Livermore is injured or unavailable. He is strong in the tackle, challenges well for high balls, and actually in recent games has shown an ability to make penetrating passes down the middle from a deep position. Just my opinion and you certainly have a right to yours. But your posts hardly encourage a civil discussion. Perhaps it was you who was "pissed" when you made them.????

This could well have been put out by his agent to push for the best deal possible with us. How many stories do we hear about possible move, which turn out to be newspaper talk bollocks.

Lets not forget that Canadatiger saw Jozy Altidore as a good Premiership quality striker who would score 10-15 goals a season

I aren't particularly happy having McShane at centre half, but in midfield...in the Premier League is a terrifying thought.

I like McShane and think he give's 100% when called upon, but when ever he's on the pitch, I'm always on edge, I always think there a mistake in him that will cost us dearly, I know this is unfair, but I cant help it.

I'd agree with this, I know he's become a bit of a cult hero, but he's really a Championship player.

As for playing him in midfield.......god help us. <yikes>

This, I love Macca but he's simply not good enough. Sometimes you can get away with playing people like McShane for the odd game due to injuries or a suspension, but the last thing you want is him playing a run of games because it will cost you points. Similar to Jak.

Couldn't you have just disagreed with his point without being abusive?
