Well done Jonas, not sure that sounds correct though but what the hell <party pooper>

"More alive than I have been in my entire life..." <nitpicking?>

Anyway, the important thing is that he seems to be making a recovery.

It's not technically grammatically wrong, but you are right there Dirty Mag. He should have gone for 'have', purely because it makes more sense in this context. He also didn't capitalize 'More'.

It still looks quite cool. Fair play to him.

It depends on what he is trying to express. "I am more alive than I had been in my whole life prior to [my operation/the all clear/getting this tattoo, etc]" is correct. It would only be "have been" if the sentiment were "than I have been in my whole life until now".

The difference is very clear in Spanish: habia sido vs he sido. Interesting that he chose English.

It looks as though the words are from an Eminem track, No Love.

However, for some reason, the word have has been replaced with had <shrugs shoulders>

He's still a great bloke though.

EDIT: Hang fire, one website has the original lyric as 'had'.

    What the hell!

I see Pardew has only gone and told him he is no longer wanted by your club.

That's old news. He did that last year. For which, apparently, Jonas can never forgive him.

Old news and no room in business for sentiment. We all wish him well. I'm sure Pardew and Mike do. That doesn't mean we should continue paying him massive wages when his level dropped off 2 years ago.
