I hate to intrude on private grief, but Into The Valley appears to have gone into a form of apathetic meltdown (if there is such a thing)... with fewer than a dozen posts on some days last week. With many of its star contributors including the splendid Dick Plumb quitting, the magnificent Reams has himself now suggested that he will "take a break from the site" ....which seems about as likely as Sepp Blatter voluntarily quitting FIFA. Those familiar with Reams will be aware that when viewing figures on ITTV slump, he adopts one of three familar ploys: 1. Manufacture a row with Charlton Life which ends in threats of physical violence. Tried that last week. Failed. 3 posts. 2. Manufacture a row by making a ridiculously provocative comment. Tried that last week with Ched Evans. 20-odd posts. Failed. 3. Threaten to scrap the site "in a couple of months" ....been tried on numerous occasions, must be imminent again. This is where Typical comes in. Into The Valley needs a new moderator. Someone inclusive and tolerant, in the best traditions of Reams himself. Come on Typs.... Typical and West Stand Willy I reckon - the Dream Ticket to revive the fortunes of ITTV
That would be a step down. We both know you'll be allowed back on there in a week so do t worry. But in the meantime I'd rather not draw attention to them and what their doing. You're giving satisfaction where it's not warranted.
I am only going back if you, typical, willy and dick join me. On a serious note, we should be getting their disaffected punters. They must be going somewhere.
REams runs ITTV from Cardiff, doesn't he? I wonder why he threatens physical violence? If he can't afford to make the train journey here to watch Charlton maybe he wants whoever it is to take the train to Cardiff to engage in fisticuffs, handbags or whatever. Maybe he's trying to do a John L. Sullivan-"I can lick any man on this website". Very odd.
I've always toyed with the idea of a guest poster spot on ITTV. It would be great to put on the baked beaned stained Reebok jogging bottoms with matching Adidas sweat top and join the intelligently reasoned and thought provoking debate put forward by Reamer. Such recent gems Like 'Why are CAFC fans such cry babies' or "Jessica Ennis is such a snooty cow" but I can't bring myself to do it. I get all that at home, the self opinionated one way argument, the constant I am leaving , the threats of violence. No thanks I will take my chances on here.
I have my deepest suspicions that our very own PEA posts on ITTV as the Flying Monk. You should register Typs
I'll pass on that thanks Vol. I don't do offensive language online. I do have a scan on there, wasn't there a thread about why it had gone down so much? Seems to have been pulled now but it shows they know there is a problem.
Jono is the man to change it's fortunes. But he needs to be granted no holds barred access accross all areas of the site. It's glory days were always when JA was posting most often (and you know it).
As previously stated, you are wrong on that one, Vol. What makes you think I am the gentlemanly Flying Monk? He has stood up for you and your mother, though, and this is something I would do vociferously. ITTV is an abomination of a site. There are some decent posters on there, but they are often drowned by the ranting of the odious gargoyle who 'runs' it. He'll probably try and start a fight with me now, which is fine. PEA is scared of no man.
Yes, Reams asked for feedback on why the traffic had dropped. When the answer came back 'because of you' he deleted the thread.
Please explain, old chap. I like the Flying Monk, but he may need a good biffing should he continue to impersonate me.
It was only a matter of time. The Evans thread was the last straw for loads of people - and rightly so. There's no coming back from that
Dunno about that Super. Reams seems to be brazening it out in that it was a simple discussion about whether Evans could return to play for the Blades, and not a justification of what he did. I'm sort of glad I missed that thread to be honest.
Anyone who read it would disagree. It was awful, and pulled because there would have been ramifications. He pulled it as he knew he went too far. But made up stories of ched Evans being innocent and hearing she lead him on and then cried rape to save a relationship will tell you all you need to know..
