Nope, not Mandela. The person I am thinking of never saw his father. The football club is up there with the strongest - and has beaten Everton on several occasions.

<applause> That's the one NZ. The first ruler of an independent Chile. The football club O'Higgins plays in the premier league in Chile and are regularly pitted against Everton de Vina del Mar (who also played the other Everton at Goodison once) another of their rivals are Club the Strongest (La Paz) - some of the clubs have strange names down there. Over to you.

I thought O'Higgins was the second ruler of Chile, but no matter.

Which dodger was later small and humble?

Steve Marriott, later of the Small Faces (magnificent, with the Stones and Yardbirds, my favourite 60s band), and Humble Pie, played the Artful Dodger as a boy.

    <cheers> NZ. :)

Sorry if this is an old one - I stumbled on it and it's new to me.

Which well known musician owned a London flat in which, four years apart, two 32 year-old very famous musicians died?

By the way, I'm very sorry about this, but I'm at a tribunal tomorrow, which is very important to me. Should I not get back ASAP, please somebody take over. I could PM Yorkshire or NZ or BB or anyone else with the answer if this is a better option. Should have thought about this before answering last one but it was a very welcome diversion from the horrid grind that this meeting has been.

I know that Mama Cass and Keith Moon died four years apart in the same flat - at the same age too if my memory serves me well - but have no idea who owned/owns the flat. :(

Well done BB, I'm going to take that. It was Harry Nilsson's flat. He was very upset by it and sold it after Moon's death.
    Over to you BB. <ok>

There's an old saying in the workplace to the effect that incompetent people don't recognise that they are incompetent, whilst people competent in a particular skill seem to assume that everyone else is competent in it too. A study confirming this effect was given what name?

Was at a professional development course today in which this was covered, so you thank the course convenor....

    Who am I describing?

Played for Watford, sold to Liverpool, then bought back. Regained his amateur status, then became a manager and a club chairman.

Of course BB. I remember him in both spells at the Vic. and he was a good keeper.

    All yours! ;)
