I am not interested in winding any reds up. This is not my intentions so reds who read this, dont think its banter or that im having ago because im not. I am only reporting this in hope that the "horse punchers" tag now gets dropped.

Remember mind, it was 1 mindless t**t who punched just 1 horse at the end of last season. That is obviously 1 too many of course but 1 persons actions doesnt make us all the same. I know its only a joke and banter from the reds who call us this but after todays incidents at the Swindon vs City game, I hope they now drop the "horse punchers" tag on us.

Reports from the Post this evening.....

MissileS (meaning more than 1 missile) thrown at police horseS (meaning more than 1 police horse).

Hopefully the horses are ok (and those who inhaled the smoke from the flares are ok too) and they drop the horse puncher line at us now.

    <ok>

I'm sorry mate, racism, punching opposition players, proven horse punching and and fans boarding buses with threatening intent and you are demanding US to improve, I don't believe you're serious.

    We all have maniacs..

Another fact that probably wont be reported anywhere (Railway Operators tend not to report these things) is the vandalism and sheer mindless destruction they caused on the football special that was provided after the match. The train was well and truly trashed and has had to be taken out of service on arrival at Bristol Temple Meads. The only saving grace in providing a football special is that ordinary normal families that may be returning from a day out or visiting etc aren't subjected to the rowdy, foul languaged, intimidating experience that certain sets of supporters (and I'm sorry to say that City are by far one of the worst offenders)regularly inflict upon others. If it were within my power,I would send Mr Lansdown the complete repair bill for the trashed train and produce photographs of the damage in as much of the media as possible.

    Said also on our board.

Working with a Swindon fan who loves nothing better than winding people up. He refuses to go to BOTH city or rovers v Swindon as they are both the SAME.

Perhaps if you dropped the "holy than thou, family club" attitude then us lot winding up would cease.

As to missiles thrown, the higher percentage came from Swindon fans. Who line up against the carpark waiting before and after the game. Fans never get escorted out of AG barring you lot so it can't be that bad can it??

As Wiz said both clubs have it.

I really like the 'horse punchers' tag - it rolls off the tongue nicely and conjures up hilarious images in my warped mind ;)

It's better than being called a ****head ****.

Anyhow, it just demonstrates what an utter coward your average Ted thug is - they're too scared to actually get near enough a police horse to actually punch it, preferring instead to 'pelt' it from a safe distance. Pathetic bunch of puffs. <laugh>

And they only threw flares on the pitch because there's such a lack of it in the squad ;)

Plenty in Rod's wardrobe though <laugh>

Im not demading anything wiz <ok>
Im not sure why you are bringing the rest into this. Unfortunately there is racism in football but im not talking about racism, punching opposite players and getting on to the team coach. These are seperate issues. Like when city fans sent death threats to certain players of their team (AG8), spitting at oppostion players (live on sky vs us, camera picked up Harrison getting spat at) and im sure there has been at least 1 racist incident amongst the reds fans. Yes you are right, we all have maniacs, I have said this many times down the years when incidents happen on both sides. I even said above 1 horse getting punched is 1 too many!
This thread though is not about the things that either City fans or Rovers fans have done. Its not a point scoring exercise against each other. This threads is purely what it says and you and others have read too much into it. If you dont believe me, that is your right. I thought we were past this sort of stuff. Well I am as I dont want another situation where someone crosses the line again <ok>
This thread is just highlighting we get called "horse punchers" but city fans throw missiles at horses. Seems fair to drop the tag "horse punchers". Thats the point of this thread, nothing else. Believe it or not is your choice <ok>

<laugh> That did for some reason make me smile! <ok>

    Point taken <ok>

We was recognised as the family club though but in recent years, this tag has gone. A minority of fans have ruined that for sure, I bet if you do your research over the last 5 years I bet Rovers have had far more incidents of trouble than City.
As regards to the high percentage of missiles was from Swindon, I have no idea. I only seen the Post report saying the above. Again this thread is to highlight the incident of missiles thrown at horses by city fans (as reported by the post) hoping the tag "horse punchers" will go now as it would be hypocritical.

Sloppy journalism then, because the only missiles I saw thrown was from Swindon fans into the city crowd and vice versa probably horses did get struck because they was in the middle. One missile from Swindon fans glanced by my daughter but I doubt they was intentionally aiming for her.

Well at least you are confirming there was actually horses present! The facebook page of the post about this has all comments from city fans saying there were no horses! I dont know the age of your daughter but you're brave taking her. There is certain games that I wouldnt take the kids and this is 1 of them. In fact my wife recently made the decision that I will never be allowed to take the kids due to bad language and after what Yaya did at QPR last week, where his shot smacked a kids right in the face!!! <laugh>

There was horses outside but none inside like at all games.

My daughters 15 and wants to join the police, so she enjoys things like this as its a learning curve for her.

All of the stuff as you call it is proven and factual..

All of this stuff is just reports from the post and you highlighted it very well..

Your second point, you raised a good debatable point on an open forum and I have just responded, nothing wrong with that, surely.

You are now known as Non League Horse Punchers and you call us 82rs or ****heads, it's all in the game....<ok>
