so its definitely not that you have a proxy set on your browser - if you look at your work laptop and get the default gateway (e.g 192.168.1.1 - may be different numbers) then on your own laptop type ping 192.168.1.1 (or whatever the dg is ) do you get a reply from.......?

so it looks like limited connectivity to the router as 25% is getting through - I have had a similar problem with a laptop at work and we got round it by deleting the nic in device manager then rebooting (which should reinstall the device drivers) - I can tell you how to do this but if you had a problem you could be snookered

its not a major problem - just go to start button then right click "computer" then "properties" there should be a left hand window with a "device manager" option. select device manager and you will see a section which says "Network Adaptors" - expand this and select the wireless adapter (it will have wifi adapter in its description) - right click on this and select "uninstall" from the menu. Uninstall then reboot which should re-install the drivers and re-initialise your wireless connection. Then try reconnecting - if that does not work I am at a loss

Ok go back to #32 but instead of uninstalling click "check for hardware changes" and it will re-install the drivers hopefully then try turning the button on
