Wierd how Wilshere when playing for England plays brilliant long range passes but at Arsenal he rarely plays those type of passes. Difference in style of play between us and England?
For England he is the deepest midfielder, so if he charges forwards he leaves too many spaces in behind. Hence the long passes. For us he plays alongside another holding midfielder, allowing him to run forward into space. If he could combine the 2 styles he would improve a lot
I agree with the views of Henderson in general, but to say he is not athletic enough is bizarre. He is the workhorse of the team. Nothing else given to be honest, but works his socks off.

Well by athletic I meant powerful, explosive or quick. He's a decent runner I guess. Covers a fair amount of ground. But what's the point in a all that running if he not winning tackles, getting assists or scoring goals?
Very good performance from Wilshere. He seems to thrive when he plays a more disciplined role with defined responsibilities. A shame Theo didn't get on. Hope Welbeck is alright.
Aside from the decent performances from the Arsenal lads, it was nice to see a game with no diving or players rolling around
Yeah. I really just wish football would allow more physical contact. Tackles with the feet of the ground should still be banned but I think overall the game is too soft now.
